How to find us

The European Medicines Agency's office is located in Amsterdam. Find guidance on how to get to the building and plan your visit to our office and information on the building's accessibility. For post and deliveries, we have two separate addresses.
Corporate

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) building is located in the Zuidas district in south Amsterdam. The area is well connected by public transport and easily accessible from Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam Central Station. Upon arrival, all the visitors must go through an identity verification before accessing the building. 

Getting to the EMA building

EMA's reception is open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:30. All visitors must provide a proof of identification on arrival and receive a visitor card to be worn at all times in the building. To reach the EMA building by public transport, the following options are available:

From Amsterdam Central Station

To Amsterdam RAI station
  • 13 minutes by metro, 8 stops
  • Metro line 51, direction Isolatorweg
  • It takes roughly eight minutes to walk from Amsterdam RAI station
To Amsterdam Zuid station
  • 11 minutes by metro, 5 stops
  • Metro line 52, direction Zuid station
  • It takes roughly fifteen minutes from Amsterdam Zuid Station

From Amsterdam Schiphol airport

To Amsterdam RAI station
  • 10 minutes by train, 2 stops
  • 4 direct trains per hour
  • Take the 'Sprinter' train, direction Utrecht Centraal or Almere Oostvaarders
  • It takes roughly eight minutes to walk from Amsterdam RAI station
To Amsterdam Zuid station
  • 7 minutes by train, 1 stop
  • 8 direct trains per hour
  • Take the 'Sprinter' train, direction Utrecht Centraal or Almere Oostvaarders, or the 'Intercity' train, direction Venlo or Lelystad Centrum
  • It takes roughly fifteen minutes from Amsterdam Zuid Station

Accessibility

The EMA building is fully accessible. There is full step-free access to all floors via the elevators.

A pick-up and drop-off point for vehicles is available in front of the building.

Visitors with impairments are welcome to contact EMA in advance to allow time for necessary arrangements.
