Data protection notice
Please note that the personal information collected by Eurosurveillance will be processed under Regulation (EU) No 2018/1725 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data by the Union institutions, bodies, offices and agencies and on the free movement of such data.
The data controller is the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), represented for this processing operation by the editor-in-chief of Eurosurveillance ([email protected]).
Purpose of the data processing is to distribute the journal to interested receivers and to communicate important information related to Eurosurveillance, to process manuscripts from submission to publication in Editorial Manager, to acknowledge contributors using Web of Science Reviewer Recognition Service, and to monitor aspects of diversity and inclusion.
Data collected on the Eurosurveillance website are stored in cloud services hosted with Amazon Web Services managed by the company Ingenta. The servers are located in the European Union. Data collected in Editorial Manager are stored in cloud services hosted with Amazon Web Services managed by Aries Systems Corporation. The servers are located in the United States. Data transferred to Web of Science Reviewer Recognition Service are stored with Amazon Web Services servers managed by Clarivate and hosted in the European Union.
Data will be stored until the data subject requests the erasure, or as long as Amazon Web Services is hosting the service on behalf of ECDC.
The data subject has the right of recourse at any time to the European Data Protection Supervisor (https://edps.europa.eu/ / [email protected]).
