The Vancouver Agitators #1

Kiss and Don't Tell

Rate this book
From USA Today bestselling author and the author of The Highland Fling, comes a brand new hockey romance about a wayward traveler falling in love with her ex-boyfriend's half-brother. Steamy and unapologetically witty.

Five hockey players, a cabin in the woods . . . and little old me, Winnie Berlin.

Sounds like the start of a fantasy, right? But it's not. It's my reality.

It all started when I got lost in the middle of the Canadian Rockies. A wicked thunderstorm sent my car mud sliding into a ditch and for a girl whose survival skills involve finding the nearest Starbucks, I was in deep trouble.

Forced to abandon my car in search of help, I stumbled upon a cabin in the middle of nowhere. Soaking wet, irritated, and in desperate need of a hot shower, I knocked on the door for help only to be greeted by five boisterous, burly, and insanely attractive men.

Not just men.

Professional hockey players.

I hit the motherload of fantasies, right? Wrong.

Because as it turns out, one of them is my ex-boyfriend's half-brother. And when I end up crashing in their spare bedroom for the night, things take a very unexpected turn.

I'm not sure any amount of survival skills can protect my heart from Vancouver Agitators star goalie, Pacey Lawes. But as long as we kiss and don’t tell, maybe everything will be okay . . .

When I was in high school I occasionally read books but was consumed by other teenage things so I didn't take the time to appreciate a good book on a cloudy day, wrapped up in a blanket on the couch. It wasn't until I received a Kindle for Christmas one year that my world completely flipped upside down. When looking for books I came across the Contemporary Romance genre and was sold and I haven't turned back since.

You can either find my head buried in my Kindle, listening to inspiring heart ripping music or typing away on the computer twisting and turning the lives of my characters while driving my readers crazy with anticipation.

it’s been a while since I laughed out loud; I almost snorted my lunch through my nose

Oh Meghan Quinn… I’ve been reading some dark books and this was the perfect palate cleanser that not only had me laughing out loud but also had me blushing like a virgin on her wedding night 🔥🥵😅.

Pacey is 27 and a hockey player. During his off time, he and his teammates go hang out at a cabin- it’s a perfect time to take a break from their busy hockey life and to just chill and relax. Winnie, 25, is stranded when her mini Cooper gets stuck in the mud on a rainy day. She walks around and sees a cabin with lights on, knocks on the door, and is faced with four hunky hockey players that could’ve been intimidating but somehow are welcoming. Not wanting to impose, she just wants to find a way to get her car out of the mud or to find somewhere to stay, but there’s nowhere for her to stay and the weather isn’t going to allow her car to get unstuck. Luckily, these guys are laid back, for the most part, and invite her to stay. Winnie is on a mission to pay tribute to her late mom by getting something that belonged to her- and that’s why she embarked on this trip.

Of course, Winnie is attracted to Pacey the most. For some reason, they both feel like they know each other, but they don’t know why. And let the funny times begin 😅.

From the amazing banter between all the guys (and Winnie included), to the conversations with Winnie’s best friends (Max and paranoid Katherine), to the antics and hilarious situations Winnie and Pacey found themselves in, I couldn’t stop reading and found myself snorting with laughter. It’s very telling on how well an author writes when their readers can’t even shower without reading the book, let alone use the restroom- ME- I’m THAT reader!! Work? Pssshhhh… who cares 👀 (okay… I didn’t take a day off, but I did the next best thing- I kept sneaking in pages here and there… I know I’m not the only one that does this lol don’t judge).

Oh and the chemistry between Winnie and Pacey was smoking hot 🥵. Jeeezus, their stolen glances👀, their shy touches🔥, their shared breaths😅… so freaking intensely visceral. Gah! When they’re sending smex messages and Pacey just shows up in her room and orders her around 🥵🔥💦yaaasss Pacey yaaasss! Even when they were playing Jenga and all they did was answer questions and get into semi-compromising positions… the connection was explosive. Although Winnie isn’t a v, the one man she was with never made sure she felt pleasure, and Pacey is ALL ABOUT HER pleasure 💦👀😉. I also love how open Pacey is to her back door surprise while she’s busy showing him her lack of g reflex. And his love of her melons is also 🔥. All super STEAMY! It takes a little while to get to all the good stuff, but so worth it.

The Breastmilk scene had me DYING!!! DYING!!! 😂😂😂 I am so lucky there was a restroom nearby, cause I was about to pee my pants! And the way she leaves with the trophy 😅😂😂😂 I can’t!!

Gahhhh… this book was *chef’s kiss *. The epilogue had me emotional ❤️🥺. I can’t wait to keep reading this series!!!! ❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️🥰

Yeah, I’m curious. A 25 y/o who’s never had an orgasm with a partner, who’s never made herself orgasm either bc she doesn’t really masturbate, who’s tried only two sex positions in the only relationship she’s been in (missionary ofc, and/or her on top) somehow knows how to give a man a very successful prostate massage while blowing him in the shower. On the first try. Yeah. It doesn’t add up.

I enjoyed the book in the beginning, but it went downhill pretty fast. I don’t like Winnie. The dialogues and plot feels unnatural and poorly written, and the insta love is just not it.

It’s a no for me.

Genre ~ contemporary romance
Series ~ Vancouver Agitators, #1
Setting ~ remote cabin in Canada
Publication date ~ September 21, 2021
Est Page Count ~ 414 (29 chapters +e)
Audio length ~ 11 hours 39 minutes
Narrators ~ Jason Clarke, Vanessa Edwin
POV ~ dual 1st person POV, present tense
Featuring ~ woman on an adventure with a secret, professional hockey goalie with a man bun, forced proximity, minimal steamage, loss of parent to cancer in past

Winnie (25) & Pacey (27) meet when her car gets stuck in a ditch because of a rainstorm one night. She has little choice but to accept the invitation to stay with 5 hulking professional hockey players.

They are drawn to each other right away, but Pacey finds out a secret about Winnie pretty early on that he chooses not to tell her about. We all know how that’ll play out when it comes to light…3rd act asshatness.

Winnie has 2 best friends ~ Max and Katherine. Max was a great, fun, supportive guy. Katherine was a bit over the top with her worrying about being abducted or killed. That was all she talked about over and over and over again. Did something happen in her past to make her this way that I missed? If so, I apologize and I’ll give her a pass. The reason Winnie was in town was okay, but the way she handled what she did was eh.

The plotline of Pacey's medical issues was pretty informative for me, so I liked that. I actually used an ice pack for my last migraine and it did help.

Overall, I found it to be too long and repetitive, but it did have some funny moments.

Pacey has a great group of friends/teammates, and each will get their own book. Although I wasn’t totally in love with this one I’ll probably read the rest of the series since I’ve met these guys and want to see what plays out for them. I'm hoping there will be some hockey playing in them, since it was the off season for this book.

Kiss and Don’t Tell is a fun, emotional, and hilarious sports romance. I enjoyed Winnie and Pacey’s story so much!

Winnie gets her car stuck in a ditch during a rain storm and goes to the only house she see’s with lights on. And there happens to be five professional hockey players staying in that house. It was a fun start to say the least!

Winnie and Pacey had such a fantastic start to their story. For some reason, they both thought each other looked familiar, but neither could place it. Until Pacey does. I loved the friendship these two developed and the tension between them was fire!

One of my favorite parts of this story was getting introduced to the other 4 hockey players that are Pacey’s friends. I really hope we get books for all 4 of them!

Kiss and Don't Tell is a fun and steamy romcom featuring found family, he falls first, and forced proximity. The story follows Winnie, who after deciding to fulfill her late mother's dream, travels to Canada and ends up in the mountains during a rain storm. Seeking shelter, she comes across a large cabin and is shocked to run into five off-season hockey players who offer to let her stay with them. While she gets to know them, Winnie finds herself interested in the charming Pacey, who is just as interested in getting to know her.

This is my first Meghan Quinn book and let me just say, I get it! I can understand why people like her writing; this book was so much fun and so delightfully refreshing. The fastpace romance worked well with how slow Pacey and Winnie actually took their relationship and the emotional depth added the perfect touch of seriousness to the otherwise comical plot. I loved how Pacey was in tune with Winnie's wants and needs, the man was smitten from the beginning and it was so cute how he was determined to get her to fall for him. I will absolutely be reading more from Meghan Quinn in the future, I can't wait to read more about these five boisterous hockey men!

I am on the struggle bus with this book!! I’ve been slogging through it for the past 3 days and it’s just not working for me right now. I’m at 41% and I don’t want to DNF it permanently because I love Meghan Quinn but it’s just not going well. I’m bored. It’s way too long. There’s way too much dialogue.. idk I’ll pick it up eventually but I’m just not feeling it right now….

Picked it back up and honestly just skimming at this point, especially the dialogue. It’s just too much for me. I’ve also figured out why I’m not enjoying this like other MQ books - I hate the trope!! I despise when one character knows something and is deliberately keeping it from the other - in this case, the hero finds out that the girl he’s crushing on is actually his estranged half-brother’s ex girlfriend and she has no idea. I hate waiting for the other shoe to drop, I feel like everything hinges on this big secret and it’s just so tiresome to read about.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

The heroine: Winnie - she went on a trip, for once without her friend and “personal bodyguard” Katherine, who worries about every eventuality, and ends up stranded in a storm in Banff. She filled her backpack with as much as she could, including some food and water and left her car. The first house she finds is filled with a bunch of hot hockey players.

The Hero: Pacey - he is goalie for the Vancouver Agitators, and he is on summer vacation with his four teammates and is ruminating about the last game and the last goal he missed which made them lose the game and get knocked out of the playoffs. They are at the mansion like cabin in Banff Canada that is owned by one of them.

The Story: Pacey and Winnie both see that the other is kind of familiar, but don’t know from where. Winnie doesn’t watch hockey, so she doesn’t think that is why. It isn’t long before Pacey figures out that he knows Winnie because she is the ex-girlfriend of his half brother, with whom he dislikes and has never really had a relationship with.

The story was cute and funny, and the character development was terrific. I loved all of the supporting characters, each of the hockey players had a distinct personality and I liked them all. Winnie has a bit of self consciousness due to her last relationship and kind of a dork. Pacey just really likes her and wants something more with her from pretty early on. The funny thing is that despite the fact that Winnie sees herself as a curvy girl and is self-depreciating about her body, she still wears a thong. So from my point of view, she must not think that badly about herself if she is willing to wear a thong in front of a guy she likes.

I liked the backstories in this book. Winnie recently lost her mom after a prolonged illness where Winnie had to move in with her and care for her. Pacey was hit hard by a puck and got a head injury that not only caused him severe migraine headaches, but also left him a bit afraid of the puck which is not great for a star goaltender.

This audiobook was told in multiple points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Jason Clarke and Vanessa Edwin. Jason Clarke is one of my favorite male narrators. He has a deep gravelly voice and is great at doing different voices for different characters. Vanessa Edwin has a pleasant voice as well.

This book is a total riot! It's packed with humor, romance, and characters that steal the show. Winnie, caught in a storm, ends up bunking with five hockey hunks, including the swoon-worthy Pacey.

Winnie’s figuring things out after a rough patch, and Pacey is the 6’3” cinnamon roll with a soft spot for her. Their slow-burn romance mixes perfectly with the hilarious antics of the hockey crew and Winnie’s friends, who are just as funny.

This was my first Meghan Quinn book, and I totally get the hype now! If you’re looking for laughs, love, and a bunch of lovable characters, this book is a must-read. I can’t wait to dive into more of Meghan’s stories!

Kiss and Don’t Tell was a hysterical hockey rom com. Winnie’s car gets stuck in the mud in the mountains of Banff. When looking for help, she stumbles across 5 NHL players in a “cabin” (read: mansion). Pacey is coming out of a tough season and isn’t looking for anything series. Until Winnie stumbles in.

I was looking for a light-hearted, laugh-out-loud rom com, and that’s exactly what I got. But where Meghan Quinn always excels for me is interweaving emotional depth into her rom coms, and she did it again with this book.

While this was insta-lovey, I loved how all the characters were like, “wait what? you’ve known each other a week.” They made it come off in a comedic way so I found I actually enjoyed the way MQ spun it. It worked so well for them.

Pacey is a 6’3, shaggy-haired, cinnamon roll with a commanding side. The way he cared for Winnie was everything. THE ACTS OF SERVICE? Pls. The best. Winnie was going through some shit and I loved the balance of Pacey building her up AND her doing her work on herself.

The side characters in the book were hysterical. The four other hockey players and Winnie’s friends had me in tears. I loved every single one of them.

Like I said, this is insta-lovey, but that wasn’t what knocked my rating down. I actually loathed the premise (oops I should read synopses before picking up a book). Pacey knows Winnie because she used to date his half brother. And just doesn’t tell her the whole time until the 3rd act. He could’ve just opened his mouth and, controversial I know, COMMUNICATED. But nope. He doesn’t and then it very classically blows up in his face. I really hated the conflict and it knocked it down a star for me. However!! I loved the slow resolution. Which I won’t describe because of spoilers.

Meghan Quinn produces a story with the perfect mix of humor and sexiness in which hockey pro star Pacey Lawes meets sassy Winnie in the middle of a storm

Five pro hockey players, a menacing storm, a cabin in the woods, a lost traveler… it does sound like the start of a thriller, right? But it actually gave me a fairytale vibe with the big, burly, cuddly and attractive hockey hunks and adorable Winnie (no correlation to Winnie the Pooh) Berlin.

What ensues next is cute flirting, a bit of shyness and lots of heartwarming feels for the adorable couple as they get to know each other. I was fascinated by the banter between Pacey and Winnie. Winnie is sweet and witty, while Pacey is the perfect book boyfriend, with so many attractive qualities but the main one being his affinity for lifting Winnie up. I loved all the activities they were able to pack in such a short period of time which made their whirlwind romance more believable.

I also enjoyed the easy camaraderie with their respective friends. Max and especially Katherine’s extreme protectiveness towards Winnie was endearing, and Pacey’s teammates were fun (especially their group chat), charming and engaging.

Kiss And Don’t tell is a standalone by author Meghan Quinn. It is told from both points of view with a happy ending. Genre: rom-com | sports romance. Trope: hockey romance | forced proximity | insta-love

This was my first Meghan Quinn book, and now I am ADDICTED! If you haven’t read this please please start this series. This was definitely moved from 4 to 5 stars because of the cast of characters. I don’t think it would have been the same without them. I enjoyed how Pacey and Winnie’s relationship grew. It felt genuine. I LOVED the banter, and the spice was top notch in my opinion.

Pacey Laws and his teammates spend every off season in Banff at Taters (another teammate) to unwind. It’s always a bro time. No girls have been to this cabin until the night that a random hottie shows up at their door on the night of a massive thunderstorm. Her car got stuck in the road. She doesn’t have cell service and is hoping to call a tow to get back. Obviously that doesn’t happen because there is no cell service (of course) and the roads are too bad for the tow. The guys convince her to stay the night. Pacey thinks he recognizes her, but when she introduces herself he can’t put his finger on it. He thinks he would remember the name Winnie. Pacey has always been a bit awkward around girls. He never feels like he knows what to say so he has put all of his focus on his career, but he finds himself intrigued by this beauty who came out of nowhere. This beauty who is being cagey about why she is really here. This beauty who he knows he knows but can’t figure out why. This beauty who he realllly clicks with after she decides to stay at the cabin until the roads are cleared. It finally clicks that Winnie is his half brother’s girlfriend. Does he tell her? NO he doesn’t because he wants to see where this thing goes.

Winnie is on a bit of a mission. She has no plan literally so the curveball of ending up in a cabin with five professional hockey players while strange doesn’t affect her terribly. Their looks affect her. Especially the quiet, cute one with the man bun- Pacey is his name. She also meets Eli Hornsby (AKA Horny), Posey (bologna man), Holmes (antisocial reader), and Taters (top tier jerk at first). She feels as though she is intruding but the guys insist- she is staying until she can get her car out. Which goes from a few days to a whole week. During this time, her and Pacey have found themselves in some comfortable uncomfortable situations like that Jenna game with questions…and the date in Banff that wasn’t a date. She finds herself opening up to him and slowly starting to trust him with what she is really doing here. She also realizes that she is comfortable seeing where this thing goes with her and Pacey. That is until she finds out what he held back from telling her. Will he earn her trust back? Will he really wait for her like he says?

Yall I LOVED this book. As I said banter was great. Spice was great. The characters and what they added to the book just was the icing on the cake. I can’t WAIT to see who they all end up with starting with Eli aka Horny who ends up with Pacey’s sister?! Can’t wait to hear that one. I am holding out hope that Max and Ian will have a story too 🤞🏻 Hope you enjoyed this as much as I did. Any suggestions similar to this would be much appreciated :)

Sigh. Alright, I’m breaking up with Meghan Quinn.

I have loved a lot of her books. The Guide to Dating Your Best Friend’s Sister and Boss Man Bridegroom are both amazing reads that are laugh out loud funny that I return to again and again. I made excuses for some of the books in her Brentwood Boys series (specifically the ones with time jumps and a complete lack of follow up) because others were so, so good. Her Getting Lucky series features my favorite small town EVER (even over Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls) - Port Snow.

BUT, I am done. The past 5 or so books I’ve read from her have been disappointing. Formulaic. Frustrating.

Maybe it’s doubly frustrating because I know what she’s capable of - genuinely funny and smart writing. And she seems to be getting in a pattern of cranking out books and falling on lazy writing.

For example, the prologue of this book… it’s a few pages, from the hero’s POV, and he’s breaking the fourth wall to talk to the audience. He sets up the entire story up to the climax, as well as the reason for the third act conflict. It - is - lazy. It is lazy to spoon-feed your audience the entire story as a bitesized piece in the prologue, because… what’s the point? Why am I reading? And she’s done this in multiple books.

Besides that, this book just didn’t have any sparkle. It wasn’t funny. It wasn’t clever. It wasn’t sweet. It wasn’t romantic. It wasn’t FUN.

We get a play by play of the hero and heroine getting to know each other, but they’re stuck in a house in Banff and around town. We literally read multiple chapters of the heroine buying and handing out crappy tourist gifts from downtown.

It was so boring. I felt nothing for either character - they were cardboard cutouts. Pacey Lawes is a hockey player. He has a man bun. He likes to win and hates being injured. Winnie is his brother’s ex girlfriend. Is that why he likes her? He says no but is unreasonably hostile towards his brother via text and can’t seem to sum up why he likes Winnie except she’s gorgeous and she doesn’t know it. And, of course, he doesn’t tell Winnie how he knows her. But he tells us, the audience, in the prologue. Nice.

Loved it, of course. Pacey and Winnie were the perfect couple--great chemistry and lots of heat with these two. But what almost stole the show and provided all the laughs were Pacey's 4 teammates/ best friends/ 'brothers'. I cannot wait for their books! Great start to a new series.

Hang with it until it gets un-stuck from the mud. First 25% is a rough ride, but you’ll smile through the rest.

Starts out with FMC’s car getting stuck in rainstorm mud. She heads off to find help and ends up at a mansion cabin with five hockey players. A wet dream? Should be, but it’s soooooo freaking scatterbrained that I can’t even get worked up about any of it, but there’s potential so I keep going past the horrible.

THE HORRIBLE

^^^ The author takes page after page for the FMC to explain getting stuck in the mud. Fine enough. But, after she gives her story to the hockey players, the author retells it for the chef… and then again for her friends over the phone…. Adding a recount of trying to get the car unstuck.

^^^ I can’t stand reading the same thing on repeat. Plus, we get the FMC repeating everything she knows and thinks about each of the hockey players. I’d expect an experienced author like this to not fall into such a pacing trap.

This theme is ‘once isn’t enough,’ and the plot is as stuck in the mud as the car.

I’m bored out of my mind and haven’t even made it to 20% mark.

Now, I’ve read some dumb as tree bark characters before, but I don’t think I’ve ever encountered even a book character who didn’t grasp that an f’ing car weighs MORE than 350 pounds. Homegirl FMC has rocks for brain cells at first.

As the story progresses, it evens out and becomes much less repetitive. The characters catch their groove and become likable.

THE GREAT……

Jenga! I loved the unusual get to know you. This scene made up for all the boring, reparative BS prior to it. Writing perfection of angst, honesty, vulnerability, seduction, sexiness. All the games were cute, but Jenga was the best.

This is insta in that the 70+% of the book takes place in just a few days. Yet, each day is something new and pushes the MCs and their romance forward step-by-step. The author does a fantastic job with character and relationship building, making you feel the emo connection slowly coming together. Again, despite only being a few days, the sexual angst here made me feel like this was much longer timeframe.

Him wooing her was cute, perfect. Gentleman with an underbelly of bedroom alpha. She’s sweetly innocent and unsure of herself sexually and physically but not so much so that it’s sickening. When they come together, everything clicks.

The side characters are interesting, helpful to the story, and play active roles, but the author keeps their presence and time exactly as it should be…. Meaningful without being overpowering. Each MC has truly great friendships.

The plot is much the same. There’s the main plot of the MCs building a relationship, but multiple side plots - an ex, head trauma, her mom and the trophy, etc ensure that the story never feels flat or one-dimensional.

^^^ So, I’d say this author’s strongest skill is balancing all elements of the story to work together - like the best cake…. Not too sweet or rich, not too dry or moist, not too much icing ratio to cake. It’s just right. Weakest point would be overlapping of the same scene/action being retold during scene changes. <<< Unnecessary! A great editor could weed that out so that it doesn’t impact the pacing of the story.

A few laughs. The best man debate here me smiling, and I rarely smile over text convos in books. The slapstick hard on comedy scene in the clown getaway car was my fav. Clever writing;)

This author doesn’t follow any standard formula. Sure, there are two plot points that are a million to one odds:The MC connection to the FMC’s past and the grocery store scene. That said, most everything else is original in how it plays out.

PLOT HOLES

I only found one.

She says she retreats to her room to plan out the trophy heist. MMC enters her room and she appears to be doing just that with papers and pen on her bed - planning. Yet, when they go to actually take the trophy, she says she never planned out how she’d do it.

“I want to go over an action plan and make sure….”

The next day…

“Do you have an action plan?” …. “ “Oh, huh. I didn’t really think about it.”

Nothing big, but I always like to point these out for writers.

ENDING

After the long-game of reconciliation, I’d have liked a slightly longer HEA and an ending sex scene. The timing should’ve extended to hockey season, not just being TOLD the plan for it. More on his injury healing. More closure with how Josh fits in, too.

OVERALL

While reading the first 20-25%, I really thought this would be a DNF because of the repetitive telling of the beginning. I’m glad I stuck it out to get to know these characters. Some of the most awesome side characters ever, and I hope they get there own stories!!! A little humor, a little sexy, a lot of smiles, some angst and tension, multi-dimensional plot, great story-telling (aside from complaint mentioned above,) and satisfying ending that I wanted more of.

For sports romance niche, 4 stars. With editing in the first quarter and more closure in the last 5-10%, I’d have given it a five.

Welp, not me actually thinking that this was gonna be a RH before I started the book😂 This book was my first ever Meghan Quinn read and it's safe to say I'm in love with her writing. There was a perfect mix of swoonworthy and steamy moments and the level of maturity and communication between Pacey and Winnie? Fucking chef's kiss. No lie. This book was a perfect light hearted read that made me laugh, swoon and fan my face several times. I'll be heading over to binge the rest of Meghan's book and I'm so excited to read about more of these deliciously dreamy hockey boys' stories. Since I have the patience of a toddler, I will be reading Silas' book first because I'm a sucker for a grumpy alphahole lmao. Based on the excerpt for Right Man, Right Time, I can already tell that Silas and Ollie are gonna blow my mind🥰

I’m 40% in right now and if I was raised wrong I would quit this shit immediately. But I’m no quitter so I’m gonna grab some anti nausea medicine, a spoon to bite down on, and power through the most annoying and dumb main characters I’ve ever read. Wish me luck, I’ll be back.

Okay I’m back. I gagged. That was disgusting. I genuinely feel like I just got pranked. I hate both of the main characters so much. Pacey is controlling and his character was all over the place and completely two different people. Winnie is the whiniest most annoying girl ever and if I met her in real life I would probably smack her. The plot was so dumb. The ONLY bright spot we’re the friends and even they weren’t enough to save this. 0/5 stars. Gross.

both of the new releases from meghan quinn have been home runs for me and i’m stoked. i’m in between 4 and 5 stars atm and can’t decide but i had so much fun reading this one. i truly hope that we’re going to get books for every other character in this book because i loved them WAY too much and i’ll be beyond disappointed if this was just a one off.

edit: decided on 5 stars

Time of death 50% 💀

Over 200 pages in and all I got was a drawn-out story, one flimsy kiss and a boring heroine 🙃

This was a solid forced proximity romance! I think Meghan Quinn knows how to make you laugh and give you a solid romance story.

Winnie ends up lost and at a house full of five rather hunky hockey players….why doesn’t this happen in real life!? They all intrigue her, but one of them more so than the others. Pacey is drawn to Winnie the moment he sees her. There is something about her that is familiar to him, but he can’t put his finger on it.

There is a instant connection and plenty of chemistry between Winnie and Pacey. While on vacation it is easy to get lost in the bubble and have everything be perfect. Once the real world comes back into play there are some struggles and issues in what seemed like a strong relationship between Winnie and Pacey. Your heart is so full of joy and happiness and then it gets stomped on, but eventually everything will work itself out and it is easy to root for these two characters to find their happily ever after.

This story had me laughing out loud so many times. There is also some steam and plenty of swoony moments. Seriously, Pacey with the help of his teammates and friends really know how to woo a woman.

I ABSOLUTELY love every single secondary character in this story and I can’t wait for more of them. I can’t wait to get more about all of them and to get more of this series.

If you’re looking for a laugh out loud, hockey romance this is one to check out.

Kinda cute, I guess, and I absolutely adored the Hockey guys, but that's about all the positive I can muster for this book.
Too insta-lovey, too much dialogue (never said that before), too drawn out. There was hardly any conflict, despite Pacey keeping his identity from Winnie, and even their separation time towards the end was completely anticlimactic.

I feel like I've wasted too much time on this book, which really isn't something you want to feel.
