Cassidy is a figure skater turned sports reporter. Problem is she hates hockey, so she's not thrilled her boss wants her to be the reporter for The Timberlake Titans.
So I feel bad about what happened to her in the past, it was not a good situation, but I'm not understanding why she hates the sport because of it. The sport didn't cause the problem, the person that plays it did. Well now she has 2 players fighting for her attention and I'm not too keen on love triangles.
Anyway, it was fine to listen to while I puttered around the house doing this and that.
Narration notes: I did not listen to this one, but am just giving the info above for reference.

Winnie (25) & Pacey (27) meet when her car gets stuck in a ditch because of a rainstorm one night. She has little choice but to accept the invitation to stay with 5 hulking professional hockey players.
They are drawn to each other right away, but Pacey finds out a secret about Winnie pretty early on that he chooses not to tell her about. We all know how that’ll play out when it comes to light…3rd act asshatness.
Winnie has 2 best friends ~ Max and Katherine. Max was a great, fun, supportive guy. Katherine was a bit over the top with her worrying about being abducted or killed. That was all she talked about over and over and over again. Did something happen in her past to make her this way that I missed? If so, I apologize and I’ll give her a pass. The reason Winnie was in town was okay, but the way she handled what she did was eh.
The plotline of Pacey's medical issues was pretty informative for me, so I liked that. I actually used an ice pack for my last migraine and it did help.
Overall, I found it to be too long and repetitive, but it did have some funny moments.
Pacey has a great group of friends/teammates, and each will get their own book. Although I wasn’t totally in love with this one I’ll probably read the rest of the series since I’ve met these guys and want to see what plays out for them. I'm hoping there will be some hockey playing in them, since it was the off season for this book.

Why do I like hockey romances so much when I know nothing about the sport? Couldn't have anything to do with the looker on the cover, could it?
Bishop & Brooke have a one night stand and the next day find out he is on the team her father coaches, which happens to be the team she's now working for. She accidentally tells her father that they are engaged, which sets forth a fake relationship.
Quite a bit of steamage right out of the gate and throughout and I didn't hate it. Their chemistry was on point!
I loved them both. He had a great relationship with his mom, wasn't all into puck bunnies and shot it down when someone tried to take a shot at him. Brooke was really sweet, too sweet really and had trouble speaking up, but not so sweet in the bedroom ...more

I was definitely on the hype train for this one and I don't know what I was thinking. I'm not at a point in my life where I am feeling teenage/college romance books, so that's my own fault for hopping on. I mean it was fine, but I had to picture these kids as adults. And yes I know college students are technically adults, but I'm going to call them kids anyway. It just always seems odd to me that someone so young can say it's the best sex of their life...dude, you've just started living your life, but then again I suppose if you end up marrying that person then it will be the best.
Anyway, with all the said I do think Anastasia & Nathan were cute together. Nathan was very supportive and protective of her. Anastasia was strong and independent. It's very steamy, which I didn't hate, but again I had to picture adults maybe in their 30's for these scenes. Good communication and no 3rd act breakup, whoop whoop!!
Aaron, Anastasia's skating partner, was an absolute douche with a capital D!
If I read the next book in the series it'll be in the way far in the future when my daughter is done with college.
Narration notes: I've listened to Tim many times and beside his lady voice I have no complaints. Elizabeth did a great job. Currently the audiobook is the #1 bestseller in sports romance on Amazon.
Book 4 ~ the final book in the Vancouver Wolves Hockey series ~ fine as a standalone. Charlie from book 3 makes a few appearances because she is 3.75⭐
Book 4 ~ the final book in the Vancouver Wolves Hockey series ~ fine as a standalone. Charlie from book 3 makes a few appearances because she is Krista's assistant. But I'm wondering where Max and Ryan are from #1 & 2 ~ have they been traded? because we haven't heard a peep about them.
Featuring ~ dual 1st person POV, sports romance ~ hockey/NHL, sports agent, accidental drugging, drunken wedding, some steamage
Krista & Levi We've met Krista in previous books, so I'm happy she gets her own story. She's a sport agent looking to sign the new rookie, Levi. There's an accidental drugging and the next morning they wake up married.
Krista's mom and sister might possibly be the most awfullest characters I have ever read. It's a shame that so many pages were wasted on them and we hardly learned anything about Levi's family. He was really there for her when she needed it the most. There was a constant push and pull in their relationship that I didn't really care for. They were attracted to each other, but their professional relationship was holding them back. But we know they'll figure it out.
Rival rookie, Brody, was such a tool and acting like a douche canoe.
Overall, not my favorite, but a fine series ender.
Narration: Madeleine Dauer & Alex Kydd ~ 10 hours 31 minutes ~ a fine job
Book 3 in the Vancouver Wolves Hockey series ~ fine as a standalone, but Ryan and Zoey from Home Game make quite a few appearances in this one.

Featuring ~ dual 1st person POV, sports romance ~ hockey/NHL, secret crush, fake marriage, forced proximity, some steamage
Mica & Charlie Mica is in the wrong place at the wrong time and in order to stay on the team he agrees to a fake marriage to help his image. In steps Charlie who has had a secret crush on Mica for 2 years.
Oh Mica Mica Mica, I loved him. He had a super sad secret that made sense to why he never wanted to (view spoiler)[get married or have children (hide spoiler)]. Charlie had such a sweet soul and I hated how she got herself into debt.
Totally called who the bad person was that was messing around with Charlie.
This is my favorite of the series. There was not a set up for the next book, so I'm not sure who it's about, but I'm ready to hip check this series off my TBR with the final installment.
Narration: Madeleine Dauer & Alex Kydd ~ 10 hours 13 minutes ~ Alex did a nice job transitioning between an American and Russian accent, although his female voice is a little whiney. Madeleine did okay with her differing accents too.

Ryan & Zoey Zoey is a woman who doesn't trust easily and always thinks a man has an ulterior motive, which makes trusting Ryan very difficult for her. Sometimes she acted tough, but other times she had trouble standing up for herself especially with (view spoiler)[Bianca. I could smell the set up with her for miles (hide spoiler)]. I did like her growth that slowly took place.
Ryan was such a giving, lonely and gentle man. He was very patient and never pushed her into anything. He trusted Zoey's judgement on things and he barely knew her, which I am not sure many people would do.
Overall, I am super duper happy we got dual pov in this one. A fine installment to the series. Towards the end we have a set up for book 3 The Penalty Box, which will follow Mica.

Rory & Max don't know each other, survive a plane crash, spend a quick night together and go their separate ways.
Rory's father is the GM of the Vancouver Wolves and he's priming her to take over his position one day. She's been a big hockey fan since she was 4 (view spoiler)[how does she not recognize one of the best players in the NHL? (hide spoiler)], but she's not too sure she's cut out for this job. There are some people in the organization that agree with her and make it known. There were 2 awful characters that cried nepotism and took it to the extreme. (view spoiler)[not only going after Rory, but the s3xual assault bit on Max and on Rory's mom, and how they're linked, was extreme to the maximum, and the pizza guy scene cracked me up. (hide spoiler)]
Max has been traded to the Wolves after causing a ruckus on his old team in Minnesota. We don't find out the reasoning behind the big brawl for an awfully long time, and the the reasoning is terrible (not why he did it, but why he had to do it) and I upped my like of Max a little more after this.
Overall, I liked this one well enough, but it was on the longer side. I am curious though why it wasn't written in dual POV, I would have really liked to have Max's perspective. I've already listened to book 2 in the series and that's dual pov, so it's just odd this one wasn't.
Narration notes: She did a fine job as a female narrator, but if a man is dirty talking to me I'd like it to be an actual man please and not a women low toning her voice.

Gus & Bo Gus is a playboy mama's boy. Bo is sassy and hates Gus from the start.
One thing I wasn't feeling was Bo going through his phone...I hate when people feel like they have to snoop. Also, big shocker ~ 3rd act breakup was for the birds! But I liked Gus's text of promises to her.
Overall, enemies to lovers is not my favorite, but I mostly enjoyed it.
