3 You're a HYPOCHONDRIAC not a SOCIOPATH STARS
Now I've given a lot of thought to what exactly went wrong for me while I read this book, and it's come to my attention that from the very beginning this book was never going to make it past the 3 star mark.
Why?
It probably started when the main character, Aeron who is a self-diagnosed Sociopath spoke to me the reader. His thought process was methodical, shameless and completely selfish. He told me how he perceived the world and people around him and quite frankly he really didn't think much of it all. He told me how particular he was when he was looking for his next lay, and how not just anyone would do. Here is a man ladies, that will use sex as a form of release and well... your needs come second. Text book asshole behaviour which I don't have a problem. My problem arose when said Sociopath, told me about the extensive research he'd done on the condition/affliction. Now correct if I'm wrong, yes sociopaths are very intelligent people. But one thing I imagine is that a sociopath does not research his condition, he may research how to mask it but not the characteristics of his behaviour. Which is what Aeron lead me to believe he had done, research his condition that is.
One of the biggest misconceptions about sociopaths is that we don't know what we are. Which is bullshit. We vary in levels of intelligence of self-awareness, just like anyone else; I of course, was repeatedly beaten with the superior end of the stick. I fell out of the better-than-you tree.
Me: Yes, yes Aeron, I get it. But seeing as you're the only sociopath who's said this I'm going to have to read a few more books with sociopaths as main characters. But for now, I call bullshit.
Now Aeron the self diagnosed sociopath, meets Leo when he approaches her regarding the sale of her company. Leo is a techie, I didn't really catch on to what Leo's job description was but she basically works in surveillance of the public kind. She developed a tiny camera that could be worn behind the ear, therefore allowing the user to record his surroundings. Now a lot of detail went into the where and what for of what Leo and Aeron did for a living and quite honestly I got bored of it.
I digress.
Come hunting with me, grasshoppers. I'mma catch me a lion.
Aeron seemed to fall really quickly for Leo, I mean he was on the right path for a bit stalking her and creeping about, and also showing signs of obsession. But he became a doting lover rather quickly. He showed signs of empathy, compassion, not for anyone else but for her. Doesn't matter, this is completely out of character, yes he should find a twisted version of love but I felt like his character deviated from his condition. I mean what the hell happened? Did meeting Leontine cure him?
Of all the places I could find religion, lets be honest-it was always going to be in a pussy. I just never guessed it would be hers. Is that what all has been about, the seduction? Leaving offerings at her altar, putting my face in the hymn book and conjuring prayers...?
And finally I come back to my earlier statement. Too much saying and nothing to validate himself. (view spoiler)[And no, edge play is not going to cut it for me. Excuse the pun. (hide spoiler)] Unfortunately Aeron you're going to have to do a lot more than stalking and telling me how badass you are to convince me. Past transgressions do not count because quite frankly you were young and had a fucked up upbringing. Doesn't make what you did right, it just makes your actions understandable.
You need to look into OCD, apart from hypochondriac behavioural patterns. Yes, I know that being a sociopath is probably a combination of a few disorders but you my friend are way too desperate.

Disclaimer: These are just my thoughts, just because I didn't enjoy it, doesn't me you won't. Read it and make your own opinion.

That freaking cliffy! My mind is working overtime trying to imagine what Jude has discovered.
Now firstly unlike Volume One, this installment takes a darker and morose turn, I'm really worried about Jude. He's trying to fight his dark urges and Detective Donovan Blake is desperate to find and expose the Cascades Killer by any means possible. Even if he has to bait him and risk even more lives being lost. Jude is torn between wanting to kill Ronnie and wanting to protect her from his dark urges.
"You don't know what? I asked and pulled her hands behind her back. "You don't know if you want my cock inside of you? Do you feel guilty for wanting it so bad? For wanting to fuck a killer?"
Once again the story has multiple POV's from the following characters. 1. Jude 2. Donovan Blake 3. Ronnie and a new character 4. Patty Wilson
Now I spent almost half this book trying to figure out Patty Wilson's relevance to the story. I went from thinking her POV was flashbacks, but by the end of the story her relevance was revealed and I couldn't decide whether or not I liked her. Okay so you're probably wondering why the half star in my rating, yes? Well I missed the dark humour that was in the first installment. Understandably this book was psychologically darker, and Jude is becoming more desperate, the poor sod is trying to change... But I missed his screwed up sense of funny.
So delicate and so fragile. So easy to crush if I gave in, just fuck i and let the red heat rise. But I didn't. I fight and I fall. Even farther in love.
Volume Two ends with a dramatic flair, and I know as a reader the next book is going to blow me away with secrets and revelations.
"the moment of death was my aphrodisiac, not the corpse, not the after effect.

This wasn't my first book by Victoria Paige, and it definitely won't be my last. She uses a great formula for her books: 1. Romance 2. Strong main characters. 3. Her stories are plot driven.
The male characters are alpha but when it starts getting a bit extreme they always show that that softer side to balance things out. So let me start with my all my gripes, just to get that out of the way because for the most part I really did enjoy this story. My main issue was how long it took for the book to focus on the actual love story, don't get me wrong I love a fast paced and exciting plot. As a backdrop. But it all needs to revolve around the couple in the story, but it felt like instead of enhancing the story it was deflecting from the most important part. Gabe and Beatrice.
Beatrice's job is to basically find the best security for her clients, who are mainly politicians and celebrities. For almost half the book I felt like there was too much focus on Beatrice's clients and how Gabe is trying to protect her. And less on them trying to rebuild their relationship which made their recovery seem a bit rushed.
Okay last gripe, and it's with both characters.I felt like Beatrice was so incredibly hard on Gabe, yeah I get that he hurt her but I felt like she could have been more understanding. Give a guy a break, girl! Finally... Gabe. Look I'm using Travis Blake as reference when it comes to alpha males, and yes I didn't want a repeat of Travis' performance. But Gabe could have been a little more earnest in his endeavour to win Beatrice back. Travis doesn't know the meaning of the word space.
And now for the rest of the book which I really enjoyed. Once again the author produced a kickass female lead who could watch her own back but was feminine enough to let the hero help her out! I loved the fact that Gabe had to fight his old persona from surfacing. It was deliciously sinister (does that even make sense?) Beatrice's dad, was another character I loved learning more about, I kinda wish he'd get his own story too even though it would be a bit sad...a prequel perhaps? Gabe and Beatrice's chemistry was sizzling but like I said it lost some intensity because of the lag in the beginning.
The plot did keep me on my feet because I never quite knew who was the villain or villains rather... I did have my suspicions but in some cases I was wrong, everyone was a suspect. I'm really excited to read more about Nate, I'd love to see him get knocked down a peg or two since he's so adamant about not wanting to commit to anyone.
All in all a great read, I just kept comparing them to Caitlin and Travis.
She was his light. His prize. His redemption.

2.5 Stars
Emptiness. Darkness. It consumes me, like this powerful force which dragged me into a sea of nothingness, and I fucking hated it. I needed to feel. I needed to release it. It was poking at my skin from the inside and there was only one way to get it out.
I think I've been jaded, I may have read one type of dark romance and then I must have become stuck in my ways. So basically what I'm trying to say is that I have particular standards when it comes to a book of this genre. They're not high or low standards, they're just mine. I started this book expecting one thing and got something completely different, which is why I was probably bored about 70% of the time I was reading it.
Let me start off by telling you about what made me want to read this book. What I deduced from reading the synopsis was that the hero or anti-hero got off on pain and had copious amounts of sex with nameless woman to help him forget whatever it is that tortures him. And then the best of all he's a college professor who is drawn to one of his students (this I just assumed).
I'll be honest this is basically what I got but it felt like I was reading an extremely watered down version of it. I never felt this connection that the characters spoke of so passionately. The fact that the hero's childhood and teenage life was shrouded in mystery did not intrigue me, it annoyed me because I couldn't relate to the kind of person he was. Too little information about the hero's past in the beginning lead me to believe that the hero was in fact overly dramatic. In the heroine's case, she was doomed from the start. I lost all respect for her when decided to give her boyfriend the benefit of the doubt when his infidelity was staring at her right in the face.
If you come to my bed, Emma, I'm going to fuck you. I don't do the pansy-ass shit you're probably used to. I'm aggressive and I will give orders which I expect to be followed.
There's nothing wrong with vanilla sex people, but if you're promising a hot, aggressive fuck session then that's what I expect. Putting a blindfold over a woman and going at it doggy-style is not going to cut it for me. And yes I'm complaining about the sex scenes because I found them severely lacking in creativity. I was very disappointed in that aspect. The writing is very good, great imagery and the emotions... leaped of the page. But I feel like with this kind of story, where the relationship is based on sex. I feel like the writing should be simplistic otherwise your key scenes can get lost in between a bunch flowery words.
The was no way I could fuck her in my bed. The only person allowed in my personal space was my housekeeper, and even that had taken a lot of time to get used to. Too many of my demons lived in that room, and I wouldn't risk having someone in that space. I opened the door and walked in to the gray room. Everything in there was a shade of gray, minus the black bed.
I really think I should stay away from these kinds of stories, too keep myself sane. I actually hate this trope. Slightly older man introduces younger innocent woman to the darker side of sex, I'm really done with it.
I'm not going to go into the details of the story because it's pretty self explanatory. It's a teacher/student romance, although the taboo aspect was completely absent in my opinion. We have a tortured hero who happens to be a criminal law professor(view spoiler)[who is a self-harmer (hide spoiler)], and a young and innocent heroine who is his student. The story has a darker theme because of the (view spoiler)[self harm (hide spoiler)] and the supposed darker side of sex. This story is probably a combination of a few troupes but unfortunately it missed the mark for me. I've read this kind of story in some form or other, nothing new was brought to the table.
I will not change the way I do things, and don't ever expect me to. I told you earlier. I'm not your fairytale, Emma. I'm the man who will fuck you until you can't move."

There are so many reasons why this book worked for me, I'm so deliriously happy right now... I can't even!!!
Here's a little info on the book if you're interested:
Serial is the collaboration and project of two authors, Lily White and Jaden Wilkes. This is not the first book I've read from either author so you can imagine my elation when I heard they were doing a project together. With Lily White's trademark brilliance at writing deeply dark characters and gruesome gore scenes and Jaden Wilkes wonderful prose when it comes to dark humour, I was prepared for awesomeness. And awesome is what I got.
Serial is a novella told in the first person, from three points of view.
1. Jude (serial killer) 2. Donovan Black (detective) 3. Ronnie (heroine/love interest)
Serial is a about a serial killer by the name of Jude.(I love it when authors give their characters biblical names, makes the story that much darker for some reason)
*Jude is a successful businessman, who grew up in a healthy environment, with a loving family. But he has a dark secret or craving that is. Jude lives for the kill, there's something about the exhilarating feeling he gets when he watches his victim breath their last breath.
I can't help it, I truly can't. I've researched addiction, Googled the fuck out of everything from, "How do I stop killing" to "Frontal lobotomy results sociopath" when the going gets tough.
"I've never felt quite all there, but not in a bad way. It's not that I hear voices or get messages through radio transmissions. I've always felt smugly superior somehow.
*Donovan, is the detective working on the case of the Cascades Killer. He's just as intriguing as Jude and I hope we can get more insight into this character. He's meticulous in his investigation and is hell bent on stopping the serial killer. He's character is dark, and seems jaded. I think he may be just as fucked up as Jude is.
My balls puller tight as her screams increased and just as I shot my cum inside her, I looked up at the task board and into the lifeless eyes of a monster's victims.
*Ronnie, is a waitress at a diner that Jude has begun frequenting. She's obviously attracted to the man. She's broken and been kicked while she was down a lot. Her character is ready for the plucking.
The lock on the door clicked again and his entrance meant night had fallen. How long would I get to keep him to myself this time?

I gave the last book I read 2 stars, and unfortunately this one is going down the same road.
1. A saucier version of The Hunger Games. No thank you. 2. An alpha male. Yes please.
As a reader our reading habits change or evolve or whatever you want to call it. I can normally tell you after reading the first chapter if I'll enjoy a book. I've always loved Alpha males, extreme alpha males and that is never going to change. Ever. This book may have worked for me, say... six months ago. But today it just didn't.
I guess I've moved past the stage where an alpha male can carry a weak plot.
I'm sorry but it felt as if the author was trying to hard when it came to the futuristic aspect of the book. I just found myself rolling my eyes a lot, and then I just started nitpicking every single thing about this book. Which is a huge no. So I gracefully DNF. Because I'd rather not post another angry rant/review

About the story ____________________________________________
Gracelynn, is a principal dancer for a small ballet company. She has everything should possibly want, a handsome and successful boyfriend, Ian, who has so far been very attentive. After a rehearsal, Ian introduces Gray to his best friend, Jasper. Gray is intrigued by Jasper, he's unconventional, his huge and rough looking. Certainly no the type of man she would normally be attracted to. Jasper is a self proclaimed bachelor, he doesn't do relationships. But for some reason when Ian introduces him to Gray, he finds himself feeling something he never thought he would. Jealousy, he's jealous that Ian has Gray because he'd rather she were his.
And then Ian, gives Jasper the opportunity to have what he shouldn't. Ian will share share Gray with Jasper, but there are a set of rules he has to follow. Jasper sees this as a chance to fulfill the desire he has for Gray, a chance to have her and be done with it. But things don't go as planned, when Jasper realises he wants more, that he'd rather not share Gray with her boyfriend. That he wants more than just Gray's body.
____________________________________________
My Thoughts ____________________________________________
Ian, is a dick. He only sees Gray as a sort of trophy to wave in front of Jasper. He's basically telling Jasper. "Lookey here, look what I have. If you're nice to me, I might share."
Gray, is a passionate woman, who hasn't had the opportunity to explore her sexuality. What she likes, what she doesn't. Ian is the first man she's been with that has pushed her sexual experiences, which is probably why she's ignoring his douchebaggery until Jasper comes along. Jasper's character is intense, and aloof. But when it comes to Gray, he feels at home, he wants to be honest with her and tell her everything about himself.
While very enjoyable, because I do love to feel intensely when reading a book, The Rules Regarding Gray was incredibly angsty, well for me at least. Jaspers and Gray's characters are so guilt ridden about their feelings for each other that they are intent on making themselves miserable. They also don't see the weasel that Ian is, because he is just that good at manipulating people.
And even when they do realise how deceitful Ian is, their conscious always kicks in. I actually really loved Gray and Jasper, they were honest about their feelings even though they continuously tortured themselves because of it. The Rules Regarding Gray appealed to me because it is a forbidden romance, but not in the cheating sense because not once did I feel as if Jasper and Gray were cheating. Jasper had a difficult childhood, he was always judged because of his appearance and his background. Although Gray had a wonderful upbringing she had some moments that she wasn't very proud of. The story proves that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.

So what's with the 3.75 stars? Why not just 4? Click the spoiler it's not a biggy, biggy. ____________________________________________
(view spoiler)[When Jasper and Gray realise that Ian played them both. They devise a plan for revenge, which to me was very immature. This sort of trivialised they're entire ordeal. I could have seriously done without this turn of events. (hide spoiler)]
Other than that a highly enjoyable read, with smoking hot sexual tension and panty melting sex scenes... and a wonderful story.

I was bored a lot while reading this book, and then it picked up a bit around 30% and I was 3 starring along until 67% and everything started getting ridiculous. Firstly the insta-love was a huge problem for me, and I am not a fan of (view spoiler)[surprise pregnancies (hide spoiler)] and it was all just so predictable and uneventful. I guess it all comes down to personal preference, this was just not my type of read, from the very beginning I never felt the connection Megan had with Zachary. I was never convinced. I'm gonna sleep on it.
I think if you're looking to read something that's wildly romantic and sweet then this is your book.
******************************************
Okay so I feel bad because I didn't even highlight anything while reading this book. To be quite honest I felt so drained after finishing it, when I got to 70% I started skimming until 80%. It was just eye roll moment after eye roll moment but I'll get to that later.
Megan Green, our heroine recently went through a emotionally taxing event. She's a writer you see, and her ex stole her work and wants to publish it under his own name. It's an ongoing struggle where he tries to make her look like the guilty party in front of the press. She flees to a small town, and plans to stay in a beach house owned by her friend, Karen. While walking her very cute dog Dixie on the beach she sees her neighbour, Zachary Adams with his own very adorable dog, Elliot. Lets just say her first impression of him is not that great.
Their second meeting is at an art gallery where Zachary sells some of his work. Megan, sees a water colour of his, Tempest. She's so compelled by the painting that she immediately wants to purchase it, but her hopes are dashed when she learns that it's not for sale. She's persistent though and she convinces the gallery owner to speak to Zachary.
Here's where the insta-love begins people, I get okay. The painting is beautiful and it's like she can see his soul in it and because of that she can relate to Zachary. This all leads to her professing her love after only one week, or two I think I can't remember.
Besides all of this I just couldn't stand, Megan! She was constantly sniffling or glowing with joy like some kind of Disney Princess. So desperately wanting to Zachary to open up to her, after one week!!!
I can't say I could find any fault with Zachary's character, he was one of the reasons I didn't DNF this book. Oh but he did mess up too.
Let's fast forward to a night that Megan shares a bottle of wine with her friend and does something stupid.
(view spoiler)[She googles Zachary's name. Zachary used to be a famous actor but disappeared when a co-star injured him by burning him thus causing severe scarring on his face and body. She downloads pictures of him, sans scars. And even purchases an unauthorised autobiography. Then the next day she forgets that she did all of that and lets Zachary use her laptop, where she saved all of this info in a folder called Zachary!!!! (hide spoiler)] LMFAO!!! I cannot even! Oh and it doesn't end there but I honestly don't have the time.
After some false accusations, where they both become stupid and jump to conclusions. (view spoiler)[Zachary in a burst of anger, slashes the water colour, and leaves town. FYI. Megan is pregnant because she forgot her shot, Zachary doesn't know this, please remember that these two have only known each other for a few weeks but they never used protection. After her friend does some nosing behind her back, and plays God. Megan and Zachary sort their problems out and I love yous are said. (hide spoiler)] And they live happily ever after.

"You make me feel things, Greta. You always have. When I'm around you, whether it's good or bad...I feel everything.
Stepbrother De[image]
3.5 Stars
"You make me feel things, Greta. You always have. When I'm around you, whether it's good or bad...I feel everything.
Stepbrother Dearest, is written in two parts. In the first part the character are 17/18 years old and in highschool. In the second part the book fast forwards seven years. The characters are reunited, and so the story continues.
So first of all let me just say that, Stepbrother Dearest was a really great book. The writing was engaging, the characters multifaceted and the pacing was pretty good too.
Secondly, 3.5 Stars is not a bad rating. It means as per Goodreads rating system that I liked the book bordering on really liked it.
Here's a quick summary of my feelings towards Stepbrother Dearest: Yes, the story follows the relationship of Greta and Elec who are step-siblings. Elec's father married Greta's mother, and when Elec's mother gets a job opportunity overseas, she sends him to go live with his father and new wife and step daughter.
Here's where the story fell a bit flat for me. That first meeting between Elec and Greta was awesome, the sexual tension was palpable and the forbidden factor was pretty obvious and made the scene very enjoyable but unfortunately we had one POV and it was Greta's. So I was constantly reading about her lust and growing love for Elec, while I could pick up on Elec's growing attraction to Greta, it lacked intensity. Which is why I need his POV. I love a cocky alpha male, and I love it when he's so into the heroine his knee jerk reaction is to be mean. But I need his POV to counteract the meaness, otherwise I just think he's being a dick.
That was the problem. I'd grown to love a little mean mixed in with my nice.
Seven years The characters are estranged for seven years, and when tragedy befalls the family, they're are reunited. The tension and angst was so obvious, and with both characters having moved on, mainly Elec who now had a girlfriend, it was pretty painful.
Here's where I get a bit ranty. Rants are not done because we want to slam the book, I just rant because I have all these emotions inside me that need to be let out.
Greta, was obviously still in love with Elec and I'm not sure but I think he was too, or maybe it was just lust. I don't know. I needed his POV, because quite honestly I started hating the guy. He had another girlfriend who he vocalised his love for at any given moment in front of Greta.
I'm sorry, Elec but don't I remember you saying you would never hurt her? And don't act dumb, you know she still has feelings for you!
So I regret to say the story became some sort of love triangle and you know what that's okay. But at least have the third party play an active role in the book, Chelsea was like a shield for Elec, he mentioned her when things got intense. Which was like a bucket of ice cold water to Greta.
And then lastly "the book", so I'm just going to spoiler tag this one. (view spoiler)[Elec wrote a book. The book was Elec's POV, it was like a repeat of the entire book but from his perspective. Which quite honestly felt like a waste of time. His POV should have been interwoven into the book, it would have given me the reader the opportunity to empathise with Elec and not feel like he didn't want Greta as much as she wanted him. What annoyed me even more was the fact that he loved Chelsea, I mean he loved her a lot! But he loved Greta more. (hide spoiler)]
And when the characters resolved their issues, Elec immediately wants to have kinky sex with Greta. And like the lovesick puppy she was she agreed. No, no and no. Firstly, Elec needed to do a lot more groveling. Elec ended up seeming like a spoiled brat who got everything he wanted and Greta ended up looking like a doormat. You have to make him work for it, girl!
"Nothing says I'm sorry like a dick and a smile."
So by the end of the book I surmised that, Elec loved Greta first, but he also loved Chelsea. So unfortunately the book missed that 5 star mark for me.
P.S. It didn't really feel forbidden to me.
"I've never got over hurting you the first time, but hurting you twice...believe me when I say this was the last thing I ever wanted to see happen in my life time.

About The Story ____________________________________________
High Stakes by Vanessa Waltz is a pretty decent read, I love Mafia Romance, it doesn't have to be dark, the book just has to engage me. Adriana and Vincent were very original characters in my opinion. Adriana being the struggling college student, who has a dark past and also happens to be a kleptomaniac. Vincent, a captain in the Mafia, he specialises in illegal gambling. The games can be held at any given venue, from an upscale hotel to a seedy rundown building in a bad neighbourhood.
Before I give you my thoughts, I think I should tell you a little bit more about Adriana. Like I said, she's a struggling college student, she happens to like stealing not because she needs the stuff she steals but because she can't help it. She also happens to be a pretty good card dealer, she supports her leech of a mother. Ironically her mother seems to suffer from a hoarding problem, obviously the apple does not fall too far from the tree in this case. Adriana's father was murdered in front of her when she was younger, which has given her emotional scars.
Now to the part where she and Vincent meet, Adriana's friend convinces her to go out (Adriana is not a very social person) one night, spread her wings so to speak. Jackie, who is her friends cousin takes them to an illegal game, and what do you know, the host is Vincent. One of the dealers for the game called in sick and Adriana ends up filling in. And there you are, this is how she and Vincent meet. She's instantly attracted to him, while he seems not to notice or care.
____________________________________________
What'd I Think Of All Of This? ____________________________________________
While both character were fresh, and original, something was definitely missing in this book. Apart from reading about Adriana's relationship with her mother, and about her and Vincent's budding romance and some conflict here and there, not much happened in this book. The story lacked intensity, it was predictable and while I don't mind predictability, I do need intensity. I really didn't feel Vincent and Adriana's connection, Adriana was clingy at times, and I really don't understand when Vincent began liking/loving her. It felt like he was only going after her because he could. Perhaps this book should have had a dual POV.
And then there are some issues that were abandoned in this book. I feel like there should be a second book but it doesn't look like there will be. (view spoiler)[1. Adriana's Dad had a gambling problem, and because of this accumulated debt. Which is why he was murdered. Near the end of the book Vincent mentions that he knows who did it and that he will avenge her father's death. So maybe I'm alone in this but I would have liked more details on this.
2. Vincent's boss, the Don did not trust Adriana and actually put a hit on her. But nothing ever happened because Vincent proposed thus making her a part of the family. I just can't for one minute except that this is the end of that part of the story. I felt like the Don could've have done more... (hide spoiler)]
This is a three star review but it sounds negative, but I did like this story. The sex scenes were scorching hot, and it takes a lot to rile me up... Trust me. Yes it was predictable but had the author elaborated in some parts, the story would have been more exciting. I'm not a demanding reader, but I do like detail. And lastly the ending, I love a good HEA but this one was abrupt, I honestly feel like there should be a second book, perhaps in Vincent's POV, a continuation of the story.

About The Story ____________________________________________
Faye Turner, ran away from home when she was only 16 years old. She's been surviving by selling her body and is using drugs as way to get by. Her life is a cycle of getting fucked, getting paid and then getting high. She dimly remembers being happy and she also remembers the one person she almost fell in love with. Her step-brother, Rhett Hale.
He shows up unexpectedly with very grave news, and Faye is thrown back into the life she ran away from. But a lot of things have changed. One of them being that Rhett hates her and second being that he also lusts for her body. When Faye realises that Rhett has moved on with his life and has the perfect girlfriend, someone she could never match. She becomes resentful and is hell bent on proving to Rhett and herself that Rhett could never settle for clean and perfect.

My Thoughts ____________________________________________
My only complaint about this book is that it is incredibly short, and it left me wanting more. Faye is a really raw character, she's really young but in her head she's far older. She's been through a lot and she knows how to survive. The one thing she can always count on is her how men react to her body, and she uses it. Megan's writing is real and gritty, I've read a few books where the heroine is a prostitute but a lot of the time it's glamourised. This isn't the case with Filthy. I really hope the next installment is released soon because I'd really love to know what happens next!
