I really wanted to like this book. I gave it a chance and completed it although it took me considerably longer to read than is my norm. The story was I really wanted to like this book. I gave it a chance and completed it although it took me considerably longer to read than is my norm. The story was strange and a little off to me. There was something about the writing style or maybe it was because I didn't care about the characters... I was not able to lose myself in the story or in the world the author created. I realize sometimes the first book in a series can leave something to be desired, so I will give this series another shot and read the next book in the series....more
Fantasy Lover was way too much romance for my taste. The characters had overactive hormones and that distracted from the story. It wasn't at all what I'd hoped it would be, however it wasn't horrible. I was just expecting less mush and more plot. Dark-Hunter as the series title made me think it would be an intriguing plot, but it was a little fluffy. I found myself skipping through a lot of the extra lust to get back to the actual story.
I will give the next book in this series a try... eventually....more
