“If you only shine light on your flaws, all your perfects will dim.”
Hands down one of CoHo's saddest books, it's definitely up there with Hopeless and Too Late. I woke up with a headache from all the crying last night. I would advise being in the right mood to read it because it can be emotionally draining, especially if you're not in the right mindset.
All Your Perfects was so different from the books I usually read. The issues dealt with are more mature than the usual plots I go for and that was super interesting. Although I wasn't able to relate to some of the things the characters were going through, I could definitely empathise with them.
One of my favourite things about this book is the way it describes long term relationships and marriages.
“Our marriage hasn’t been perfect. No marriage is perfect. There were times when she gave up on us. There were even more times when I gave up on us. The secret to our longevity is that we never gave up at the same time.”
I don't think I can do this book justice with a review. If I had to describe it in one word it would be 'important'.
Thank you for reading, please share your thoughts in the comments.

Update This was one of my most anticipated books of 2017 and somehow I have managed to put it off for a whole year smh. I'm finally picking it up so you can expect some reading updates coming your way soon!
Update
I HAVE IT! I HAVE IT! IT'S HERE!!! [image]
--- Update [image] I don't want a freaking excerpt, I want the whole book! Is that too much to ask? [image] --- Update What am I supposed to do with my life until October 3rd? [image] ---- I don't even care what this book is about. I would read CoHo's grocery list.

It's really not fair how hot this guy is. And he's got this whole bad boy vibe that I'm not usually into, but for some reason, it makes him even hotter. I guess I like bad boys.
OH MYYYY GOOOOD! I wish you guys could hear me literally scream at this book. [image]
This whole book was a huge WTF moment.
Why is this thing even allowed to exist?!!!!
I have never been this pissed at a book before. It was wrong on so many levels, I don't even know where to start.
Could you just puh-lease stop romanticising bloody abusive relationships, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!
Can you imagine all the teenage girls reading this book and thinking that freaking assholes are hot because this idiot character Ella is attracted to jerks?????
This book is the most disgusting thing I have read in my life. All you can find in here is abuse, near-rape and a creepy characters.
If any teenage girl is reading this review, I need you to understand that abusive relationships are not okay. If someone is being a jerk to you it is NOT okay. If someone calls you a slut, you get out of there now! If you've been drudged and nearly raped, you need to talk to someone.
*sighs deeply* what has the world come to?
The fact that they kept referring to Ella as their sister makes it TEN TIMES more disgusting and creepy. And don't even get me started on the dad. [image]
“What do you want?” “To talk.” “Then talk here.” “Get in here, Ella.” “No.” “Yes.” I drop my arms and walk into the cabin. Something about this guy…he issues a command and I obey.
He’s a jerk and he wants to hurt you, I scream at my body. My nipples pucker despite my warning.
I don't recommend this book to anyone and I have no interest whatsoever to read the rest of this series.

[image] On second thought, there miiiiiiiight be a few reasons why you don’t want to read this book and by a few I mean a lot. You see this book has a trigger warning for basically everything you can possibly think of. Here’s a list of all the trigger warnings: (view spoiler)[-Abuse. -Rape. -Cheating. -Drugs. Also, the sexual scenes in this book are much more graphic than any other CoHo book. (hide spoiler)]
If you somehow made it through all the previous warnings then congratualtions, you’re good to go my friend. This book is a slap to the feels (just like most of CoHo’s books) but it is absolutely AMAZING! So basically … [image] Now go read the book and come back to discuss it with me when you’re done.
Spoilery section:
* sighs deeply * Where do I even start?
➨ Let’s talk about Asa: What a great character! I mean he’s a shitty person but I absolutely loved him as a villain. He definitely has a few loose screws in the brain but when it comes to evil plans, the dude knows what he’s doing!
➨Sloan: I had a love/hate relationship with Sloan’s character. She has been through a lot and I know she is a strong female character in her own way but man, there were a few scenes I wanted to shake the life out of her! For example that scene when Asa found her house and raped her in her own bed. I wanted her to fight back for once! I know, I know, she would probably be dead if she had but man, that was so cringy to read about Ughhh *shudders* A quick kick to the balls would have been nice, Sloan.
➨Carter AKA Luke AKA The worst cop in the history of cops: Luke should definitely go find himself a new job. I’m not even sure why he hasn’t been fired yet but this guy says the cutest things and you can’t help but fall for him. [image]
➨The Fake FBI situation: As mentioned above. Luke is the worst cop in the universe. I saw Asa’s plan coming from a mile away! How can a real cop not know when he has a fake cop in front of him? WTH Luke?
➨The car crash situation: CoHo has done it again! I might be wrong but I think CoHo likes to put a car crash scene in most (if not all) of her books. I LOVE THAT! I was actually waiting for it to happen and boy oh boy it did not disappoint. Our favorite cop managed to get in a car crash, break some bones, hit his head, run to his house and kill Asa in a matter of five minutes. This guy must be high on pewter or something (oops wrong book.)
➨The baby situation: It’s gonna eat me up for the rest of my life. I have to know if it’s Asa’s baby or Luke’s! I think I might message Colleen begging her to reveal the secret to me. It’s obviously more likely to be Asa’s but if that’s the case, will the baby be a crazy psycho like his dad and grandad?!!! I hope for everyone’s sake that it’s Luke’s. I NEED ANSWERS! [image]
Overall, this story was so entertaining. I found myself talking and yelling at the book a few times which is always a good sign ... well, probably not always but in this case it was.
I can’t wait for Colleen to release more books. #CoHoTrash
Since I found myself unable to produce any coherent thoughts about this book, I thought I’d try a gif review. Hope you’ll enjoy.

Before you start throwing tomatoes at me, hear me out. Usually when I read a boGah. Thank God this is over.
Okay so three words: NOT. FOR. ME. [image]
Before you start throwing tomatoes at me, hear me out. Usually when I read a book that I don't like, I can still see why everyone else is obsessed with it but with this one I can honestly say that I have no idea why it received that amount of hype. (feel free to comment why you loved it)
For some reason, I can't pin point what exactly annoyed the hell out of me while reading it. I think the whole book was a major case of "meh" for me. I didn't care about the characters whatsoever... and I just realized that I've already forgotten the name of the girl! I've finished the book five minutes ago! [image] Dear memory, we're in the middle of exams don't turn your back on me now.
Anyway, this book contains an incredible amount of clichés and there only so much that my heart can take. It was so predictable from start to finish which made it really easy to skim through some parts so bonus points for that.
The girl, whatever her name might be, was extremely annoying. It's been a while since I've read from such a flat female character POV. Just aghhhh [image]
I think it's safe to say that Elle Kennedy's books are not for me. Yes, they are cute romances but they lack depth in my opinion so I don't think I'll be giving the third book a chance #sorrynotsorry
*sigh* I’m not sure where to start. I’ve pretty much loved all the previous books in this series but aghhh this one.
Welcome to Empire of Storms, the try not to cringe challenge book edition.
➨ The first thing that you notice while reading Empire of Storms is the similarities it has with ACOMAF. I think that in trying to release two HUGE books a year SJM doesn’t really have enough time to properly edit her books anymore. The two books ended up sounding exactly the same, except for the fact that ACOMAF was much, much better.
➨ The sex scenes situation: I have nothing against steamy scenes in YA books. I believe it makes the book more realistic and we all love seeing our OTP finally getting down to business. However, what I don’t like is seeing a YA book turn into straight up erotica.
There’s a scenes that combines my first two complaints about this book. Brace yourselves.
Remember the mountain situation is ACOMAF?
"Rhys roared as he came, slamming in to the hilt. Outside, the mountains trembled, the remaining snow rushing from them in a cascade of glittering white, only to be swallowed up by the waiting night below."
Well, if Rhys can make a mountain tremble imagine what good ol’ Rowan could do.
"Rowan’s own release barreled through him at the sight of it, lightning joining wind and ice over the water. Aelin held him through it, sending the fire-opal of her magic to twine with his power. On and on, as he spilled himself in her, lightning and flame danced on the sea. The lightning continued to strike, silent and lovely, even after he stilled."
Are you cringing yet ? Alright, moving on.
➨ I’m so done with Aelin trying to be sassy all the freaking time and bossing people around. Oh, and is it normal that she doesn’t share any of her plans with ANYONE?
➨ This book has no diversity whatsoever. Every single main character is straight and white af. SJM has like 50 pov characters between her two series, you’d think some of them would be a little different, right? Right? Wrong.
Also, every single character is blindingly beautiful. [image]
Oh and let’s not forget that most characters are royalty for some reason. [image] You’re a queen and you a king ! Let’s throw a prince in there and another king and another queen. Aww my gaawwd ! [image]
➨ Chaol who? Remember that main character we were in love with for three books? [image] Nop? Okay.
➨ Characters acting out of character: Dorian felt really off in this book. He didn’t sound like Dorian just like Chaol didn’t sound like Chaol in the previous book but we already got rid of that problem, didn't we?
➨ Must every single character be in a relationship? [image] I’m seriously not feeling Manon and Dorian’s relationship. I had a feeling she was gay. I don’t know maybe it’s just me.
➨ For some reason the narrative is mostly third person limited but we randomly jump into other people’s minds here and there. [image]
Ps: Thanks for everyone who pointed out that Aedion is actually bi-sexual I didn't omit this fact on purpose. It just slipped my mind when I was writing the review.
I hope I didn’t forget anything. Anyway, before you bite my head off, I just want to say that I do love SJM’s writing and I think the plot of this book and the series as a whole is great. This book could have been amazing if there wasn’t so many things annoying me about it. This is just my honest opinion. Feel free to leave a comment so we can discuss....more

I really don’t know how I feel about this book, I loved some parts but I definitely had a few issues with other parts. This is basically what was going on in my mind while reading it:
Nice Kimi: Aww the romance is so cute in this book, it’s so nice to finally read a story without isntalove. This is so realistic, don’t you think?
Evil Kimi: Aghh this is dragging on for forever. Kill me now.
Nice Kimi These characters are so likeable especially Garrett, I think I’m gonna add him to the fictional boyfriends’ list.
Evil Kimi: *Snatches the list away* are you fucking kidding me? He’s rich, gorgeous and a HOCKEY PLAYER! No, not just a player he’s the freaking captain!
Nice Kimi: … and what’s wrong with all that?
Evil Kimi: *Swears colorfully*
Nice Kimi: ???
Evil Kimi: I’ll tell you what’s wrong with all that. ALL OF THE CLICHES. ALL OF THEM! Is this supposed to be a retelling of High School Musical?
Nice Kimi:*Starts to sing* This could be the start of something new, it feels so right to be here with youuuuu.
Evil Kimi: STFU!!!!!
Nice Kimi: I’ve got to move on and be who I aaaam, I just don’t belong here I hope you understand.
Evil kimi: *Slams head on the table* Make it stop! make it stop!
Nice kimi: Shhhh look she’s telling him about the (view spoiler)[rape! (hide spoiler)]OMG this is so sad I think I’m gonna … Are you crying?

Holy crap, what a powerful book. It took me some time to gather my thoughts about it, because right after I finished it this was all I could do: [image] Hoover usually succeeds at hitting me right in the feels but she has taken things to a whole new level with this book.
It Ends With Us is one of those books where you have to go into it not knowing anything about it. I would recommend reading this review only if you've already finished the book. All you have to know before reading it is that you NEED to read it.
Lily Bloom: Probably one of my all time favorite female characters. I admired her for the choices she made and I felt her pain and struggle every step of the way.
Ryle: Gah Ryle. A neurosurgeon you guys. Let's be honest, we all fell in love with him. I love that I went into this book not knowing that it dealt with an abusive relationship because I wasn't looking for it. Just like Lily wasn't looking for it. I fell in love with Ryle when Lily fell in love with him so I totally understood her struggle when came time to let him go. I found myself wondering how many chances I would have given him if I were Lily. Just take a moment and ask yourself? Would you have left before? At the same time Lily did? or maybe later? Never? It is a lot easier to judge an abusive relationship when you're not actually in it, but in most cases those girls who stay are usually in love with the abuser. I know it might sound weird to be in love with someone who physically or emotionally hurts you but this book portrays how something like that can happen. There are so many more factors that are intertwined in every relationship so leaving might be a lot harder you think it is.
Atlas: *sigh* I had such a soft spot for Atlas in my heart. I pretty much cried in every scene that involved him. Happy tears, sad tears, all the tears! ALL OF THEM! [image] The letters to Ellen were my favorite part of the book. I really hope she reads this book one day.
I don't think I've ever read a book that felt this real and I feel like it has a lot to do with the fact that Colleen Hoover based this book off of a real situation. I didn't think it was possible to love this author more than I already did but she proved me wrong.
Ps:Colleen Hoover, I want to be you when I grow up. ...more
[image] I have so much to say about this book, I’m not sure where to begin. I had pretty low expectations going into this one even though Sarah J Maa [image] I have so much to say about this book, I’m not sure where to begin. I had pretty low expectations going into this one even though Sarah J Maas is one of my all time favorite authors, because a lot of people who have similar taste as mine told me it wasn’t that good… they were right.
Let’s break this down to the top 5 things that annoyed me the most in this book:
Feyre: If Bella swan and Katniss Everdeen had a kid …. [image] Wait, I mean if Bella Swan had a long lost sister/clone… [image] Let me start again… if Katniss Everdeen and a spineless worm had a kid… wait that sounded wrong…. Poor Katniss, I’m getting off track.
What I’m trying to say here is that Feyre stars off as a strong female character that hunts wolves to feed her family but soon after turns into this thing. [image] I genuinely liked Feyre’s character in the begining of the novel but It didn’t last for long.
The “beast”: *sigh * Tamlin was everything but a beast. [image] Tamlin was another character that I didn’t like that much. His intentions towards Feyre were a little shady if you ask me. (view spoiler)[ And thanks to all the pictures I’ve seen of Fayre with Rhys on tumblr, I kind of already know we’ll get rid of Tamlin in the second book. I usually hate spoilers but I think I can live with this one because that’s exactly what I wanted to happen. . (hide spoiler)]
Boring plot: I found the plot of this book to be pretty flat and boring there’s just no other way to put it. Nothing happens for the first 60% of the book and I found myself wanting to dnf it after a while. Don’t get me wrong, after that it gets pretty good but it’s just… [image] I absolutely loved the last portion of the book when things actually started happening but I don’t think it makes up for all the pain I had to get through to reach that point.
The villain: One of the worst villains I’ve ever read about. Your typical one-dimensional, desperate bitch character that has nothing better to do than torture other characters. Meh.
Last but certainly not least The instalove: Hide your daughters, the instalove has struck again. [image] I honestly don’t have the energy to go on an intalove rant right now but I’m sure you guys understand my rage.
On the other hand there were a few things I really liked about this book like the beautiful writing style and Lucien’s character and I really hope to see more of those in the next book.
Ps : To all of you who think this is a YA novel, it isn’t. I’d say it’s more graphic than most of the NA books I’ve read so keep that in mind.
Thanks for reading. Please share your thoughts :D ...more

So, November 9. Needless to say that I went into this book with very high expectations because so far I have absolutely adored everything I read from CoHo.
So basically, here’s what I didn’t like:
➨ Benton James Kessler. I actually really liked him in the beginning and at the very end of the novel but everything in between was absolutely horrifying.
“Thank you for this beautiful gift.”
That’s what he says when he finds out that Fallon is a virgin.
[image] He says the most random cheesy shit I have ever read in my life, but wait, I could have forgiven his cheesiness if he wasn’t a manipulative asshole as well.
I shove the dress back at him. “I don’t want to wear that, I want to wear this.” “No,” he says. “I’m paying for dinner, so I get to choose what to stare at while we eat.”
➨Fallon :
" Why would a girl care to find herself when she’ll never be able to make herself feel as good as a guy can? “
[image]
I literally gasped out loud when she said that. Fallon was just too melodramatic for my taste. Kimi does not approve.
➨ The insta-love. Hide your daughters ! The insta-love has struck again. I was even more annoyed when Fallon talked about how much she hated insta-love. Just aghhh
What I did love : ➨Dylan Thomas : I really enjoyed the Dylan Thomas quotes. ➨The whole story with Ben’s mom. ➨The writing style
Over all, I expected better from CoHo but I’m still glad I read the book. Thanks for reading. Share your thoughts.
I went into this book with very high expectations because Colleen HooveI can't even, I have lost my ability to even.
Oh. em. gee. This book you guys!
I went into this book with very high expectations because Colleen Hoover, obviously. I have now read almost every CoHo book except for some of the sequels and Ugly Love and I can tell you that this author has never disappointed me so far. It's funny how every time I read a new book by her I'm so sure that it's my favorite book by her and then she comes out with an even better book.
Let's talk about Confess So with every CoHo book there's always a "thing" sometimes it's poetry, other times it's songs …etc In Confess the "thing" is the mind blowing artwork and as if that wasn't cool enough, Colleen Hoover had to add these amazing confessions and wait for it … all the confessions are real! Actual people sent them to to her and she used them in her book! Here's my favorite one:
Every day I’m grateful that my husband and his brother look exactly alike. It means there’s less of a chance that my husband will find out that our son isn’t his.
Want to see the artwork? Here ya go:
The characters
Adam, Adam, Adam. I think Adam is my favorite character in this book, don't ask me why. It's just that every scene related to him had me balling my eyes out (I'm not even kidding) I guess that must mean something.
“That could be fate, you know.”
Auburn. I liked her from the beginning of the novel, she's such a strong character who would do pretty much anything to protect people she loves. (view spoiler)[But when I found out she had a kid with freaking adorable Adam! (hide spoiler)] I salute your awesomeness Auburn.
Owen. At first, I was getting this creepy vibe from Owen haha, because he seems to know Auburn somehow but doesn't want to tell her (or us) how he knows her. At some point in the novel I stopped getting the stalker vibe from him and I started loving him. And when I finally found out the secret behind all that…
[image]
Emoryyy The long lost sister of Luna Lovegood that's all i'm going to say.
Trey. After you read this book, I'm sure you'll understand all the death threats against this character.
My favorite quote from Confess
“I’ll love you forever. Even when I can’t.” “And I’ll love you forever. Even when I shouldn't.”
Over all I highly recommend this book to everyone :) ...more

I have to say I didn’t hate it, on the contrary it was really entertaining and heart breaking at times.
Here’s what I liked: (spoilers ahead)
*Those sex scenes tho! Gah Ugly Love has one of the sexiest scenes I’ve ever read. This was a little bit different from her other books but I really liked that aspect of the book so I’m not complaining haha.
*Miles and Rachel's relationship. It broke my heart. Even though I saw the pregnancy coming from a mile away, it was still really good. I thought she was going to die during childbirth but no CoHo has to throw in a car accident in there. That moment they drove off the bridge it reminded me of that Vampire Diaries episode with Elena and Stephen and Mat. You know what I'm talking about? The tears.
My issues:
*The amount of times Miles says Rachel.
Rachel, Rachel, Rachel, Rachel. Aghhh we fucking get it Miles her name is Rachel! Let us all move on with our lives.
*The poetic style Miles’ chapters were written in got old real fast. It kind of felt over the top sometimes. “I smile, amused by whatever game this is we're playing. He smiles, too. He. Smiles. Too.”
*That excruciating moment when Miles and Tate were having sex and he says the name of his ex. You guessed it, it was fucking Rachel again.
Miles: I’m so sorry. Me: get the fuck off me. Tate: just finish miles.
WHAT?! Why would you want him to finish? HELL TO THE NO!
