I appreciate a lot of parts about it such as: Dex’s life path is beautiful. What they do for people with tea is what I’ve always been interested in in my own life: helping people through counseling.
This was just so boring. Dex’s reaction with Mosscap annoyed me mostly. Not it, but Dex. They were so weirded out? Or scared? I can’t quite pinpoint the emotions.

It felt so natural (which I’ve seen/read some sci fi where lgbtq+ relationships feel out of place, definitely not the case with this story!)
The characters. They are the heart of this story. Yeah the storyline was interesting, BUT what made the book so good is the characters and their relationships with each other. I came to love every single person on the Wayfarer and I really appreciate that we get POVs from all the characters. I will ALWAYS be a sucker for the found family trope and this is certainly that.
I was a little worried the world building would get too complicated to follow (which has happened a lot for me with sci fi and fantasy) but it was very easy to follow and so unique! Becky Chambers really wove this complete universe that just makes sense and is so fascinating!

Overall a good thriller to read with a satisfying and enjoyable plot....more

The epilogue of this book has me sobbing. It was so good to get a glimpse of my beloved characters from The Raven Cycle. Blue, Gansey, even Henry.
The story in the trilogy was fascinating, but not my favorite. I found it a little boring, to be completely honest.
But I LOVED the new characters we met. Jordan, Hennessy, Farooq-Lane. And I fell a little bit in love with Declan as well. These characters made this trilogy worth the read.
I also LOVE how Maggie’s live for art really showed in this story. I loved the art facts I learned from it as well as discovering new artists to research.
Overall it’s worth reading if you loved The Raven Cycle. Really really sad we probably won’t see these characters again. ...more

This almost reminds me of Foul is Fair, but while I did not like that one at all, this one I dug. Maybe it’s just the difference between an adult novel and a ya never but this worked better as a more mature story, I think.
I definitely recommend! There are quite a few triggers though so be careful. The ones I can remember off the top of my head are sexual assault, light homophobia, murdering (pretty graphic in a couple cases), emotional abuse, spousal physical abuse. ...more
This book was a rollercoaster, but I enjoyed it. The main character is a bit annoying sometimes, but I understand why.

It was hard to read at times. I also was a lesbian in a Christian high school. Thankfully only for a few months. (Noped out after I was told I was going to hell for reading Percy Jackson and bringing it to school to condemn other students. I just wanted to read..)
I definitely recommend the book. Casey McQuiston is one of my favorite authors and I always look forward to her books. ...more
