The magic system in this book is so unique and was my favorite part of the story. There was magic built around the art of tea-making, something that I had never really considered. The old Chinese method of making tea has a certain charm to it that really pulls this story. It was fascinating to learn about traditional Chinese medicine as well as historical Chinese traditions including the preparation of tea.
