I grew to love these characters like they were family, I felt the losses like they were my own, I love how this author focuses on the characters themselves and not making the zombies the focal point, just gives you such a strong connection with the characters and their struggles, their losses, their bonds to non blood people.
Now what to read next, the struggle is real, because even though this author has pulled me out of bookfunks she’s also the cause of a few when nobody else compares to her writing.

Of course it’s another 5 ⭐️ read, this series put me through the wringer, the highs and lows, this series pulled me in from the get go and not once ever let me go..
This one went darker than the two previous books, and even upped the ante on the emotional scale.

This series got better and better each book, the feels came, the tears came and then the laughs and love came for these characters who had lost so much but still lived to see another day, this was a slow burn which quickly got its hooks into me never wanting me to close that last page.
Now I have to hope this author jumps in her writing cave and gives me more words.
I never used to want to ever read this genre, then along came 'The walking dead' and my love for this genre took off in leaps and bounds, this genre just ticks all those boxes which I crave in my books. Dark, gritty, emotional and this author ticks every single box every single time..

Not gonna lie this book had me tearing up more times than I care to count. I can’t get enough of them and this author delivers us so many words which I tend to inhale.
This book follows the group of characters we’ve come to love in this series, many don’t make it though and they’ve left a huge gap.

Mother Nature is kicking their asses when a bush fire out of control tears the survivors down the middle cutting half their pack down in half. If that’s not bad enough but more zombies are enforce in the thousands destroying most safe zones in its wake.
This series has ticked all my boxes, I’ve only been reading this genre for the last year or so and it’s one I’ve grown to love and this series is one of my favourite ones.
I’m not sure how long the wait will be but there’s another book coming out in this series on the horizon and I couldn’t be more happier. But if it’s a long wait it’ll be a reread for sure....more
