This was such a sweet romance about an overlooked heroine who have a cute crush on the self absorbed duke who barely notice her. I loved how it all started with an unrequited love, then how the heroine decided to give up on him, then watching him notice her and how amazing she is and trying to win her over. I loved the heroine and her stubbornness and knowing her self worth. I also really liked how she didn’t give in to the hero so easily. And how Anthony redeemed himself by the end. Anthony and Daphne were just great and I really enjoyed this....more

This might not be perfect, but it was just so freakin fun and entertaining to read. I mean it was cliché, tropy, and reminded me of those early 20s romcoms movies, but it’s the kind of book that grow on you. I didn’t expect to love it that much, but I freakin did.
I loved Lanie. she was an awesome heroine. She’s quirky, socially awkward, and kinda weird. But I admire her, her brutal honesty, and how she know what she wants. I liked how she wasn’t such a doormat, that she was actually aware with how everyone was treating her, even if she chooses to ignore that.
Also, Kyle was such an interesting character. I was prepared to hate him from the beginning. He was such a jerk, playboy, and rude to sweet Lanie. But oh how I loved watching him slowly fall into her. How he started to see how awesome she is. How he was so protective over her. His character development was so good that I was so into him.
Also, how come that every female character in the book was so annoying?? Like why is everyone treating poor Lanie so badly like that? The book was so enjoyable to read and the dialogues were so freakin entertaining. Those two were just so sweet and i forking love it....more

You could drown in two inches of water. Maybe grief was the same.
When I started this book, I didn’t think I would end up loving the story that much. This is one of those slow books that slowly grows on you without you even realising. It was complex, thought provoking, tragic, and I loved it.
Books about siblings and complicated family drama always catch my interest. Specially those who takes place over a long period of time. I loved how this book tackled a lot of issues like race, identity, and motherhood. I loved how sad it was. And how it kept me wanting to know more about those characters.
I loved how one single choice lead to two completely different lives, and how we got to see how it turned out for both. I loved all the characters and I understood them and their actions and choices. I wish that the ending was different tho or at least more powerful. Other than that and the slow beginning, I truly loved this....more

First of all, this is one of the cutest covers I’ve ever seen this year. This was such a really entertaining summer read, cute bodyguard romance with a twist. I really enjoyed this one, it was such an easy book to like. I loved Harrison from the first introduction, a stoic broody bodyguard, what’s not to love? The sunshine grumpy dynamic was really entertaining.
I also really liked all the talk about romance books and those who reads romance and how they’re always shamed for reading romance? Also, all the talk about mental illness and therapy. The romance might not be the most amazing thing, kinda conflict free, and wrapped up extra nicely with everything being super okay for “a royal” situation, but it was still really cute! One thing I didn’t like is how I hated all the people on the island. I mean for a small island I always expect to fall in love with the closed community....more

“I’m the Duke of Halford,” he said, “I’m the Marquess of Westmore.” “I’m also the Earl of Ridingham. Viscount Newthorpe. Lord Hartford-on-Trent.” “And I am your slave, Pauline.”
Ahhh this was such a fun unique Tessa Dare book! I really loved these two so freakin much.
A duke who is determined to teach his mother a lesson, who desperately wants her son to get a wife and is sure she could turn any girl into a perfect duchess. He ends up picking a serving girl who is supposed to be a huge failure.
I liked these two from the start. They’re just so fun and they fit so well. I loved Pauline, a heroine with self respect and determination. And Griff was such a sweetheart. Together their romance was so adorable and so steamy. I also really liked the middeling mother and the whole my fair lady plot line. Overall this was such a fun time....more

For a Stephen king book, this was so easy to get into and I really enjoyed reading it. A short entertaining story about a single mother and her son who can see the dead. I really liked Jaime and his relationship with his mother. I kinda didn’t like the weird ending and how abrupt it was, but overall this was a really engaging page turner read....more

My only interactions with paranormal have been K-dramas, they just do it so well!! However, I really liked this one. Firstly, I really find the idea of finding your soulmate in every life time so fascinating. Fated love stories are just so good and heartbreaking.
A current running back and forth between us. Faint messages over a telephone line. I couldn’t make them out, but I had the feeling I got when I closed a romance novel—wanting something I didn’t have. Or no longer had.
I liked Lucy, she was so relatable in her own introverted bookworm afraid to speak her own thoughts way. And all her talk about romance books? Yeah I can relate. I liked Cas and how he have pined after her a lifetime after another lifetime. He was such a total softie for a demon.
I loved all the talk about romance books and reading and loving romance. How grief was portrayed. Also, I really liked how the author made the heroine’s thoughts to be actual demons whispering to her, like she gave those voices a shape. And I liked watching her grow and literally slay her demons. Their story was really beautiful. I just kinda wished for more of their romance, in this lifetime and the past one....more

[image] I loved Alejandro from the very first chapters with the way he treated Sophia, which was so heartwarming, and the way he took care of her, specially that scene in her sister’s weeding which was so sweet and full of tension? Idk I just really liked it.
I really liked these two together. Alejandro is that mafia hard guy on the outside, but he’s a total softie family man on the inside. Their banter was so fun and every encounter is full of sexual tension. Every scene with them together you could just feel it in the air around them and their chemistry is so freakin undeniable!
You could expect; little flirtation, forced proximity, age gap, grumpy/sunshine, undeniable chemistry, a caring hero, a sweet charming heroine, addicting writing, and such an enjoyable book. This was a great introduction to Sophia and Alejandro’s story. I can’t wait to read the rest of their story. Also, one of the highlights of the book was meeting those little girls again and Scott and Ellie! Oh and Bruce Wayne, I was definitely a fan of him as well!...more

A vacation gone wrong. Shady weird things going on. Deception, betrayal, and backstabbing. Girl’s drama that might’ve ended with murder (or two). This was such an enjoyable summer read!
I wouldn’t have lasted an hour on that yacht without throwing someone from it, I’m surprised that the heroine made it through the whole week. This was such an entertaining fast paced book. It wasn’t completely “thrilling” and you‘d probably end up guessing almost everything right, but it was still an entertaining book to read that kept me interested. I really enjoyed it a lot! And ugggh I hated Summer so much!!...more

Initially I was going to round down because the romance was just okay and the hero was kind of a dork. Then I ended up rounding up because the hero was...kind of a dork! Oh and the baby, I definitely rounded up for the baby as well.
Speaking of that dork, he was so oblivious and so childish for someone he’s age and with his responsibilities. I couldn’t take him seriously and I kind of pitied the heroine because she has to deal with him. However, somehow along the way he started to grow on me? He turned out to be an adorable dork and I’d find myself actually laughing instead of rolling my eyes? (Okay the eye rolling didn’t stop tbh, because it’s still me) I don’t know how, but it’s like somehow he kinda forced me to like him. And I really did! Also, I loved the way he was with baby Audrey. They were just so cute!
This book turned out being more fun and adorable than I expected it to be! With a strange blind date that turned into an accidental pregnancy. A bold put together heroine and a dork playboy, I was eager to know how would they fit together.
The book was definitely more “parenting focused” than romance focused, but for some reason I didn’t mind that. Both characters were the complete opposite of each other, I was surprised with how they made their relationship work. They were just so cute trying to figure out the whole parenting thing and their relationship. It turned out being such a fun light read....more

Because I’m the one who reached down and stole her away, and now I feel in some strange way that she’s mine.
This was a really sweet heartwarming chill story. It had such a gripping start with the heroine running away from her abusive father. That’s when the hero came on his horse, literally, and saved her. He then took her back to the circus he run where she found family in them all.
The storyline was very interesting with such a unique setting as a traveling circus. The found family aspect was so heartwarming. I loved Ryan’s bond with her friends!! And I really loved the whole set of characters whether main or side ones. They all just felt like one entertaining lovely family!
“You’ve nearly stopped my heart with just a look, more than once. I’m completely at your mercy, Ryah. What are knives, compared to that?”
I really loved the hero. Cale was seriously so sweet and caring. I loved how Ryah was determined to find her place in the circus. And the slow burn was so good!!! With Cale trying to fight the attraction and keep his distance while she’s trying to figure out if he feels the same way about her. Let’s just say that when they were finally together I was cheering so hard. Like yesss! Those two were such an unconventional couple that I couldn’t help but root for....more
