This might not be perfect, but it was just so freakin fun and entertaining to read. I mean it was cliché, tropy, and reminded me of those early 20s romcoms movies, but it’s the kind of book that grow on you. I didn’t expect to love it that much, but I freakin did.
I loved Lanie. she was an awesome heroine. She’s quirky, socially awkward, and kinda weird. But I admire her, her brutal honesty, and how she know what she wants. I liked how she wasn’t such a doormat, that she was actually aware with how everyone was treating her, even if she chooses to ignore that.
Also, Kyle was such an interesting character. I was prepared to hate him from the beginning. He was such a jerk, playboy, and rude to sweet Lanie. But oh how I loved watching him slowly fall into her. How he started to see how awesome she is. How he was so protective over her. His character development was so good that I was so into him.
Also, how come that every female character in the book was so annoying?? Like why is everyone treating poor Lanie so badly like that? The book was so enjoyable to read and the dialogues were so freakin entertaining. Those two were just so sweet and i forking love it.

This one definitely doesn’t gets off on the right foot, but I agree, it evolves into such a fun read. At the start when I read this, I especially never thought my opinion of Kyle would do a complete 180. Terrific review, Em 🥰.

I didn’t know this one but it’s showing up as a rec in goodreads and it might be something I’d enjoy! Glad you forking loved it Em 🤓 xx
Roz- right?? I was surprised by how much I started to really like Kyle! We started of on the wrong foot, but then he definitely won me over! I’m glad to know you loved it too! xx
Ainhoa- I’m glad I finally read it. I’ve had it on my tbr for so long and I just really forking loved it! Lol! I’d say give it a try, it was really entertaining! xx
Great review, Em!! Lanie sounds like a heroine I'll love but I get so mad when every other women in the book are annoying. Glad you still enjoyed it!

He was a real peach, wasn’t he? 😂 I’m so glad I found the book through Phuong’s review(her review gave me the motivation to hang in there), cause idk if I would’ve believed he would truly change & maybe would’ve dnf-ed it early on had I found it on my own. But man, did he win me over too! He turned out to be rather adorkable 🥰. Lanie became better heroine too than I would’ve anticipated. Xx

Lau- Lanie was such a sweetheart indeed, and all the women around her were treating her so poorly that I was so annoyed! xx
Roz- yes I totally agree! I really didn’t like him at the beginning. I thought he was another jerk and maybe I shouldn’t waste my time on him, but the more I read, the more I found myself liking him more. He turned out to be such an adorkable indeed! Both the main characters surprised me in a good way! xx
this book was so much fun!! but, omg, you're so right. why was every other female character hating on poor Lainie?? like - back off people.
Right? I enjoyed it so much! And omg I felt like everyone was ganging up on her and I wanted to scream at them all! xx
Oh wow how did I miss this book?? Reformed playboy is one of my weaknesses 👻 ok, just added it to my tbr! Awesome review, Em!
