it was amazing
bookshelves: arc, cold-cases, cozy, e-books, paranormal

The first book in the Haunted Library series. I have read this author before and enjoyed her book. I found this book hard to date as I felt the mystery was not much but I like the ghostly librarian and Smokey Joe. There was a backstory hinted at and felt Carrie Singleton was headed for trouble. Even the supporting characters are well developed and made an impression on me.
In this book, Carrie accepted the department head of events and promotions. At her first event the speaker, retired homicide detective, Al Buckley, dropped over dead. He mentions that he knew who killed Laura Foster 15 years ago. Carrie with the help of the ghostly librarian and Smokey Joe, the library cat investigate the murdered wanting answers for the family. Will she succeed before the killer has a new victim?

Disclosure: I received a free copy from Crooked Lane Books through NetGalley for an honest review. I would like to thank them for this opportunity to read and review the book. the opinions express are my own.

Rebbie Hi Betty, I'm glad you liked this one too! :)

Betty Hi,
I have read so many books usually, I can tell whether I enjoy a book before I download it. Thanks for the comments on my reviews.
