I've tried to read this more than once, but keep giving it up.

I gave it two stars, but the whole thing was a little hard to believe...and I nearly gave up, too. I actually stopped about halfway through and read a few other books before forcing myself to finish it.
I know. It's so morose. But I heard so many screaming recommendations, and so many people gave the Sympathetic Head Tilt when I told them I couldn't finish it, I just had to.
I must be missing something. Right?

It's a turtle race slow, but once I finished I was beyond glad I did. I have a peeve of beginning and finishing a book unless it's just THAT bad. With my expectations I had to finish the book, and like I said, was glad I did. I really enjoy your reviews on books, but we definitely have different taste! I enjoy reading what others have to say about books I adore and love...but I don't read much into books for how realistic they are or how "genius" they are. I really do read to occupy time and because I enjoy it. Thanks for all your reviews!
It was interesting enough to garner my attention, and the writing was great. That's good enough for me. I'll probably pick up the sequel.
