I can't anymore. It's not really a bad read, it's just not capturing any feels. There's next to no chemistry, though the characters are nice and interesting. I like that the ex-girlfriend isn't an evil witch (and I suspect she and Con will end up together). And for a GFY it wasn't too obnoxious about the clichés of that trope. There was just nothing unexpected here. It's all been done before.

And please, for the love of your readers, hire an editor who understands how grammar works. There are way too many misused words. And look up your pop culture references. Al Pacino is not Dustin Hoffman.

Also, how is his best friend there without Gray knowing it? Was Kai just lurking at the back of the restaurant like a stalker without saying hi to him?
Also, I wouldn't expect this much bantering after Gray just dumped his girlfriend, but I guess the shock of seeing his bff might override other emotions temporarily."

Snjez I agree with you, Linda! I wasn't feeling those two as a couple. I liked the first part of the story, there were some funny moments. But the way their relationship developed didn't work for me. 😕

Sorry you didn't like it either, Snjez. I just couldn't connect with the writing at all. Even the humor felt forced to me. I guess I can write this author off my list.
