This was an alright read, but something didn't really click with this couple for me. The story was fairly weak, I mean, how many older boss/young assistant tropes are out there? Poor decisions had me banging my head against the wall, and the predictability is strong. Even the kinky sex didn't really hold my interest, unfortunately, probably because I wasn't invested in the couple. I couldn't see the draw Lydia had towards Kat. She wasn't interesting, intriguing, nothing made her stand out, except maybe for her long curly hair constantly escaping her bun. Yum.

Ms. Stone is still a strong writer and that kept me going on this one. This was still a unique escape.

Gene Not just the older boss/young assistant trope bothered me, but also that at 24 one is really too young to make a lifetime commitment, only had one girlfriend, no experience in the scene. Were this a male boss female subordinate relationship he'd be pilloried and rightly so. That's just wrong on every level - retired from a career in management and I KNOW how much trouble those cause in the workplace - as they did here. Getting hired right back in a better job? Doesn't happen in the real world. I wish this had been more respectful of that.
