It’s been a minute since I dipped my toe into a psychological thriller and I enjoyed this one! An accident that kills two teens the day after graduation is not all that it seems, but what really happened? This story goes back and forth in narration from the different parties involved in the mystery, as well as going between the past and the present. I love this type of storytelling, and I also loved hearing the voices of the teenagers, and then the people they became 20 years after this “lovely lie.” Overall, this is an intriguing story of the lies people tell and the ways people manipulate one another. – Michelle V.
