It made me think about how common this is -- and a strawpoll with friends convinced me. Twenty seven seems to be the magic age when we stopped to question what the heck we wanted from life and if we were getting it. And then boy, did we go after it.

So I wanted to write a story where the heroine faced her own crises. How did she confront it? What changed and what did she make change?

And then Theo roared up on his motorbike and I fell in love with her hero :)

Also (author-to-author) I was reading that titles that contain keywords from popular searches do better on Amazon. So I'm hoping romance readers search "kiss" :)(less)

“He sighed deeply: to fall in love at first sight with this malodorous sleeping girl, with, as far as he could see, no pretensions to beauty or even good looks, was something he had not expected. But falling in love, he had always understood, was unpredictable, and, as far as he was concerned, irrevocable That they hadn't exchanged a word, nor spoken, made no difference. He, heart whole until that minute, and with no intention of marrying until it suited him, had lost that same heart.”

Thank you! "Excited" doesn't even come close to describing how I feel. I have to ration !!! or they'd take over my every post.

So happy!!! ;)

Harlequin Books Hi Jenny. Almost time for your release. Congrats!

Jenny Schwartz Hi Steph, thanks for accepting the friend invite! So scary asking.

Japan must be so much more exciting than Canberra. I'm in Perth now, but I lived in Canberra about ten years ago. The people are great and well, I quite like country towns, so I enjoyed Canberra, too. But it's definitely not exciting. Still, I enjoyed being able to say I lived in the Australian capital and kangaroos really did jump through the streets :)

message 6: by Steph

Steph Hi Jenny, Where in Australia are you? We just moved from there. We were in Canberra, not exciting but a lot of fun. We miss everything about AU, but the cost of living! LOL!

Thanks for the friendvite. :)

Jenny Schwartz I am such a computer dumbie. Took forever just to change my profile photo. *sigh*

aprille Yes, life has a tendency to do that. Congrats on the novella by the way.
I was looking forward to reading more of TD, I thought it was a very interesting concept.
My writing is going ok, I've trundled down a different track with it now; started a new story.
Good to hear from you :)

Jenny Schwartz Renee wrote: "May I ask when the next chapter of The Divide is expected? :)"

Hi Renee

Thanks for asking! Unfortunately, the answer is no time soon. Life has caught up with me. I haven't even had a chance to catch up here on Goodreads. I have a novella coming out with Carina Press soon and I'm writing its sequel.

The Divide is likely hanging fire an awfully long time.

Hope your writing is going well? :)

aprille May I ask when the next chapter of The Divide is expected? :)

Jenny Schwartz Looking around, getting comfortable, metaphorically putting feet on the coffee table (don't worry, it's an old and battered one, needs sanding and repainting). Very neat to vote on "anticipated books". Like being a kid and waiting for Christmas, swapping wish lists with friends.
