"A fast paced, exciting read with good character arcs and a thought provoking underlying message. Overall, a well executed Dark Academia Fantasy novel. What more could I ask for?

One of the greatest grimdark stories I've ever read. Legitimately incredible in every way. If you like Joe Abercrombie style grimdark don't even watch what I have to say, just go buy this and thank me later." Read more of this review »

David Gemmell
“Nothing of real worth can ever be bought. Love, friendship, honour, valour, respect. All these things have to be earned.”
David Gemmell, Shield of Thunder

David Gemmell
“Less of a Galahad than a Lancelot, thought Archer. A flawed knight in a flawed world, unstable yet unyielding.”
David Gemmell, Wolf in Shadow

Kurt Vonnegut Jr.
“به سن من که برسید، البته به شرطی که به سن من برسید، و به شرطی که تولید مثل کرده باشید، یک وقت می‌بینید دارید از بچه‌هایتان، که آن‌ها هم دیگر برای خودشان میان سال شده اند، می‌پرسید، "زندگی یعنی چه، برای چه؟”
Kurt Vonnegut, A Man Without a Country

Nassim Nicholas Taleb
“Reality is far more vicious than Russian roulette. First, it delivers the fatal bullet rather infrequently, like a revolver that would have hundreds, even thousands of chambers instead of six. After a few dozen tries, one forgets about the existence of a bullet, under a numbing false sense of security. Second, unlike a well-defined precise game like Russian roulette, where the risks are visible to anyone capable of multiplying and dividing by six, one does not observe the barrel of reality. One is capable of unwittingly playing Russian roulette - and calling it by some alternative “low risk” game.”
Nassim Nicholas Taleb, Fooled by Randomness: The Hidden Role of Chance in Life and in the Markets

Patrick Rothfuss
“There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man.”
Patrick Rothfuss, The Wise Man’s Fear
