The Klondike Kid
The Klondike Kid is a Classic Kingdom mini-game in Kingdom Hearts III. In this game, Sora and Mickey must catch up to Pete, and hit him with barrels.

The Battle with Pete
After your sled falls apart, Pete will turn up and start throwing barrels. Press to bat the barrels back his way. After enough hits, you'll put him in his place.
Mechanics[edit]
This mini-game consists of two phases. In the first phase, Sora and Mickey go down a hill on a sled. The "CONTROLLER" buttons can be used to move left and right to avoid trees, and the "ACTION" button to jump over chasms. After a large enough distance has been covered, the sled will hit a tree trunk and shatter, starting the second phase.
In the second phase, Sora and Mickey chase Pete on skis, who tosses barrels at them. The "CONTROLLER" buttons are still used to move left and right, but the "ACTION" button now makes Sora swing his Keyblade to knock the barrels back at Pete. Once Pete is hit enough time, the stage is complete, and the next stage starts. Later stages require more barrels to hit Pete.
Getting hit by a tree or barrel, or failing to jump over a chasm causes Sora's life to decrease. Once all lives are gone, the game ends. The score goes up by 10 for each tree or chasm avoided, by 50 for each barrel that hits Pete, and an additional 100 for defeating Pete.
Origin[edit]
The Klondike Kid is based on the Mickey Mouse short of the same name from 1932. In the short, Pete kidnaps Minnie, and Mickey chases him on a sled pulled by Pluto. When Pluto chases a rabbit through a tree trunk, Mickey's sled breaks and he continues on skis.
