New URL with different ID

[edit]

The current links are redirected to a new URL, as shown in the following examples for Cheick Traoré (Q38164088).

French:

English:

The formatter URL cannot be changed in this property because the new URLs use a different ID and do not work with the current IDs. This should not be a problem as long as the old URLs continue to redirect. -- Zyxw (talk) 11:58, 23 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

For some IDs, the URL for the French page redirects but the URL for the English page does not, such as Pierre Njanka (Q2449599):
French:
English:
In this instance it appears the dead link in English is due to the player moving from Ligue 1 (Q13394) to Ligue 2 (Q217374). -- Zyxw (talk) 14:58, 23 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
NOTE: I updated the links above to use https: because the http: links no longer redirect to the new page. -- Zyxw (talk) 16:08, 24 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 ID have to be created I think, the LFP item is no longer viable for some players. (See also fr:Discussion_Projet:Bases#Besoin_d'aide_P3683_(«_identifiant_Ligue_de_football_professionnel_») for French WP discussions)--Rashinseita (talk) 19:06, 7 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
