Oppose as continuation of previously reported harassment and bullying by Jura1. Not deleted: no consensus to delete at this point; after reading quite a bunch of discussions and thinking about this issue, I close this request as "not deleted" because there is no consensus to do so. Mind that this is not a notability assessment, and not an endorsement of the solution proposed by User:Gettinwikiwidit. However, it is not the role of admins to make editorial decisions, so I cannot select a data model for you.
That said, here is a personal remark: as far as I understand these are simply two competing data models out there, with roughly the same granularity (in terms of P39 values per item). Both of these models are similarly complicated to query, and similarly complicated regarding data management. None of it is able to provide insight which the other cannot. The one using United States senator (Q4416090) (and similar) relies on an additional qualifier parliamentary term (P2937) which the other one using Q98077491 (and similar) does not need, but the latter requires an excess these somewhat artificial position-by-term items.
The situation preferably converges to some sort consensus for one data model eventually, which should *thereafter* be implemented where ever possible. If you cannot reach agreement by yourself, I propose to make an RfC that is ideally being prepared by all involved editors; it should clearly outline the advantages and disadvantages of all possible data models so that less-informed users can participate without needing to read tons of old discussions. Please avoid addressing any personal aversion in it, as it puts other users off extremely from participating there. —MisterSynergy (talk) 09:28, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
