Your GA nomination of 1968 European Cup Final
Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article 1968 European Cup Final you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Hi Harrias. I am starting work on the Battle of Dunbar in collaboration with User:Girth Summit with a view to taking it to FA. (The draft is her if you want to keep an eye on it.) Do you know if there is an article, probably one of the larger battles, where the weaponry of the time and its effectiveness is covered? Possibly the tactical use of both infantry and cavalry as well? I am thinking of something along the lines of "Opposing forces" from the Battle of Crécy. There probably isn't, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel if I don't have to. Similarly, if there is anything which you know of that may be a basis for "Background" I would be grateful. Thanks. Gog the Mild (talk) 21:51, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Gog the Mild: I haven't come across anything particularly great on the weaponry of the time on here. I put a little bit in User:Harrias/Edgehill#Opposing forces, but that is pretty specific to that battle. If you do come across anything let me know, or similarly, if you need any specific help with detail or sourcing, I can probably lend a hand: a fair few of my books go into some detail about the different weaponry and tactics. The Scottish theatre of the Wars isn't really one that I'm that familiar with, so can't offer much off the top of my head for the Background, but I'll keep on eye on it, and either stick my oar in, or give it a review. Harrias, just a gentle reminder that you opened this review page on April 7, and haven't yet posted a review. Whenever you can give it some attention would be great. Many thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:35, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
- @BlueMoonset: Blimey, thank you. That one had completely passed me by. Harrias talk 07:34, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
