The Central District of Bavanat County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان بوانات) is in Fars province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Bavanat.[3][a]

History

After the 2006 National Census, Mazayjan and Sarvestan Rural Districts were separated from the district in the formation of Mazayjan District.[5]

Population

At the time of the 2006 census, the district's population was 25,136 in 6,772 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 16,442 people in 4,718 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 16,698 inhabitants in 5,210 households.[2]
