Canadian English
[edit]Barclays Bank CANADA was a bank chartered by the Government of Canada that operated exclusively in Canada. These two factors constitute "strong national ties". The fact that Barclays left Canada twice indicates that Barclays Bank Canada does not have strong national ties to the UK. Per WP:ENGVAR, Canadian English is the appropriate variation of English to use. Ground Zero | t 22:54, 26 May 2016 (UTC)
- I agree with that description. ~ RobTalk 03:33, 27 May 2016 (UTC)
- Agreed as well. For the purposes of ENGVAR, the fact that the company was British-owned does not trump the fact that it was Canadian-based. Bearcat (talk) 14:47, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
