[edit]I, Samuel Lentz, find this article just fasinating. --66.84.90.25 (talk) 22:07, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
What.
[edit]Somehow I do not believe "Dicks" is the most appropriate name for this article.
Especially since it's only two clicks from an article that 4chan just vandalised nto too long ago. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.190.9.254 (talk) 16:39, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

- Agree. Should be a disambiguation page. Morganfitzp (talk) 00:13, 21 February 2016 (UTC)

Dicks → Edmond de la Fontaine – This is clearly not the best name for the article. Having looked over the version history, the page was created in 2004 as a redirect to a fast food restaurant in Seattle. The redirect was replaced with the current subject in this version in 2007, and the article has been a subject of persistent vandalism ever since. Every corresponding article in every other language uses Edmond de la Fontaine, rather than his pen name (for instance: lb:Edmond de la Fontaine). I believe it is unusual to use a pen name as the title of an article for an author. It goes without saying that this move would put an end to the childish vandalism that often remains on the page for days before it is noticed (edit: I notice that the page has been protected, but I feel the rest still applies). - Move the page, point to Dick. Lots of people named Dicks, too. Hyperbolick (talk) 17:46, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
- Support move, if only to stop the childish vandalism. ONR (talk) 14:37, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
- Support. Although it is common to use the well-known pen name of a writer, this one is not the primary topic for Dicks. Dicks (writer) would be better, or at least should exist as a redirect to his legal name if that is well-known. -Jason A. Quest (talk) 18:50, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
- Support move especially because he is known for his writings in Luxembourgish, and his page in Luxembourgish is under his full name. AccidentalLichens (talk) 20:51, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
- Support We may also need to create a new DAB page, or rename and rework Dicks (surname) Meters (talk) 22:34, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
- Support, though I'll admit the whole time this has been on my watchlist, I thought it was the article for Dicks (band). Morganfitzp (talk) 12:02, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
