In Anger

[edit]

"Splendid fired Tomahawk in anger against Serbian targets in Belgrade during the Kosovo War."

What on Earth does this mean? POV? Locuteh (talk) 12:05, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It is a standard English idiom to explain that the firing was done to inflict casualties, damage, etc. (see here) rather than as warning shots, test rounds, target practice, etc. So no, I don't think this is POV. Benea (talk) 13:27, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Falklands War

[edit]

As I understand it, Splendid had been trailing the carrier but had not obtained PID due to fog. The carrier group then made a run over shallow water and Splendid lost the trail. So as written the article seems to contradict the official history? Thoughts? WCMemail 11:27, 13 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
