position?
[edit]It's debatable whether he's a power forward. I'd say he's more of a center.--Alhutch 07:24, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Kendrick Perkins and Sports Illustrated Poll
[edit]An editor and I are arguing whether this poll should be mentioned in the article. Thoughts? Zagalejo^^^ 04:46, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
- Support Zagalejo. Firstly, the source offered is a blog, and therefore not reliable. However, even if it were from a reliable source, it is quite trivial.--TM 13:35, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
However, if you actually looked at the blog it is citing sports illustrated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sstrasser86 (talk • contribs) 03:36, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
- I say, don't include it. This is not really a vote, and internet polls are very dubious even for measuring popular opinion; it doesn't matter if it's from SI or anywhere else. If there are common negative opinions of him out there, we should find much better evidence for it than a poll; there should be sports writers willing to criticize him. Mangojuicetalk 16:48, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
- IT'T NOT A PUBLIC OPINION POLL!! WOULD YOU READ IT? IT'S FROM HIS PEERS (THE NBA PLAYERS SAID THIS) THEREFORE, I FEEL THIS IS A VALID REFERENCE BECAUSE IT'S JUDGE BY HIS PEERS... NOT THE GENERAL PUBLIC!!
- My mistake, you're right it's from his peers not the general public. Still, it does seem like trivia at best, an unnecessarily negative and potentially damaging to highlight the poll. If this is backing up a point about his reputation, then WP:BLP dictates we ought to seek more substantial sourcing. Mangojuicetalk 23:57, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
- Comment: Seems pretty trivial, and not WP:RS, I'd say don't include it. Cirt (talk) 00:24, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
- Comment Seems trivial to me. Not sure it belongs in a BLP.--Cube lurker (talk) 17:54, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
I say Damon Jones would have got it if it was public, but still don't include it.--Bellsprout723d (talk) 04:41, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
