[edit]The Route history is accurate but certainly not the dates. Main Street has been Highway 9 (and McPhillips Highway 8) for at least 25 or 30 years. When the new Highway 4 opened in the 80's when Howard Pawley was Premier (It really is the highway to nowhere [and is barely used] as there are two Provincial Roads that can be used to get from Selkirk to Highway 59)it was a new designation as Highway 4 had been discontinued several years before that. Is there anyone who knows the history of this highway that can make this article accurate?
