Proposed merge with Marilyn Horne Song Competition
[edit]There's not much content on both the pages, and the competition is part of the academy. Merging will result in a better overall page. Daiyusha (talk) 12:23, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- You are right, that would be better. I'm fairly new to wikipedia – is there something I have to do beside making a Marilyn Horne Song Competition section? Do I also create a redirect to this section from the Marilyn Horne Song Competition and Marilyn Horne Foundation Competition pages? OrestesLebt (talk) 12:34, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- Found all relevant information under Wikipedia:Merging. OrestesLebt (talk) 13:06, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
Upon revisiting the Marilyn Horne Song Competition article, I changed my mind. The competition was launched under the helm of the Marilyn Horne Foundation, and could have as well been included in Marilyn Horne for that reason. OrestesLebt (talk) 20:33, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
- I agree that the history of the competition goes back further than its association with the academy, so keeping them separate seems appropriate. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 07:25, 29 December 2018 (UTC)
- It is now a month since the last comment, I'm going to remove the merge tag. Thank you all! OrestesLebt (talk) 12:10, 29 January 2019 (UTC)
