Just changed the bit about the 2022 removal to past tense. Possibly related is an Equestria Daily post saying that Hasbro doesn't actually own Generation 4, unfortunately the details are unconfirmed and currently the Equestria Daily post is the only source, so if we were to include this information (which we might have to) it might be best to wait until more information becomes available. Source of the reveal here if anyone is interested: [1]Wiimeiser (talk) 12:51, 23 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
While the general rule is to use "an" when the following word begins with a vowel sound, "an animated" simply seems... wrong. The sound becomes "an an" when saying the sentence out loud, which is extremely awkward. "a animated series", while having two A sounds, breaks the "an an" into "a an", which sounds better out loud.
It's fine! I'm not really worried about it, just an odd situation in a sea of weird English grammar. There are no rules, just guidelines, unlike languages like German that have dedicated legal bodies to determine what "proper" German looks like. — The Hand That Feeds You:Bite15:33, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
