[edit]I'm undoing the merge with Patriarch of Venice. Surely the office is prominent enough to have it's own article.Benkenobi18 (talk) 20:57, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Move article?
[edit]I propose moving this article to "Patriarchate of Venice," with "Archdiocese of Venice" being a redirect. Patriarchate seems to be the more common term, as evidenced by Google ngram, and also based on the fact that in the lead section, it specifically refers to the patriarchate. Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Venice → Patriarchate of Venice – Agree with above poster, per WP:Primarytopic, etc. Thus formal request here. Chicbyaccident (talk) 12:06, 9 July 2017 (UTC) --Relisting. — Amakuru (talk) 11:41, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
- It would make this article in line with other wikis. 98.143.71.14 (talk) 18:19, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
- Support other wikis don't matter since en.Wiki has its own naming policies. WP:CONSISTENCY, however, would support the move to have Venice conform with other Latin Church patriarchates such as the Patriarchate of Lisbon. TonyBallioni (talk) 01:48, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
