Coming here after a notice on WP:BLPN. The "Controversies" section about Devin Kelly's exposure conviction isn't relevant here. This is an article about Pete, not Devin; Devin is 30 years old and his own person. The sources about the conviction are short, and don't focus on Pete Kelly. If Devin had saved a child from a burning building, would Pete be getting the credit? Surely not. Here's another way of looking at it. Pete Kelly is a somewhat controversial figure locally (so is his brother, but that's a whole other matter). If this were a case of someone dumping whatever they found lying around on the web and moving on, that's one thing, as that happens on Wikipedia all the time. The number of times this has been added suggests that this really is about Pete Kelly, at least as far as the offending editor is concerned. In the edit comment to this edit, someone, presumably the same person who has been restoring this section all this time, writes "(It is well documented that this controversy pertains to Pete Kelly, as many called for him to recuse himself from a vote on Erin's Law while the case was ongoing. This has been reliably documented repeatedly.)" That might be enough if it were actually well documented by "many" Wikipedia:Reliable sources, but the only reference this someone provides for this is this editorial commentary, which mentions Kelly in one paragraph out of fifteen, and doesn't actually call for him to recuse, merely comments that he probably won't. Huh, didn't see that before. The byline is an immediate red flag, as Shannyn Moore can't exactly be called a neutral commentator. Her comment about the "ConocoPhillips caucus" of Kevin Meyer and Mike Chenault is very revealing, however. Conflict of interest is a very touchy subject in this ostensibly citizen legislature. These same voices on the left have been agitating about Meyer and Peter Micciche serving in the state senate while employed by ConocoPhillips in middle management. There's a good chance that these same IP editors have inserted material which could stand review into those articles, too.
