Hi, I read "As if to emphasize the Diddley-like riff, ...". If this is a quote then it should be marked as such, but as states it is original research. "... sound like an homage to older rock 'n' roll songs." is too matter of fact as well imo, should rather be "were described as sounding like homages to older rock 'n' roll songs."
