Capitalization
[edit]According to the Manual of Style for Trademarks:
When deciding how to format a trademark, editors should examine styles already in use by independent reliable sources. From among those, choose the style that most closely resembles standard English – regardless of the preference of the trademark owner.
- Capitalize trademarks, being proper names. For details, follow the same style as for titles of published works
- Follow standard English text formatting and capitalization practices, even if the trademark owner considers nonstandard formatting "official", as long as this is a style already in widespread use.
On independent reliable sources, two styles are largely used: "Tôt ou Tard" and "Tôt ou tard":
Tôt ou Tard | Tôt ou tard |
---|---|
As the manual of style clearly states that, from among those styles, editors should choose the one that most closely resembles standard English, and specifies that the standard English for proper names is the title case, as in "Chicago Manual of Style"; the preferred style when mentioning this music label on Wikipedia should be Tôt ou Tard. That said, the article should be moved from "Tôt ou tard" to "Tôt ou Tard". —CamiloCBranco (talk) 15:28, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
