This template is put at the top of a biographical article to explain to readers which part of a name is honorific.
This template takes one parameter:
- {{Burmese name|(honorific)}}
Example
At the beginning of the article on U Thant, you would insert:
- {{Burmese name|U}}
which would output:
- In Burmese names, U is an honorific, not a given name.
