[edit]Is plaque a disease?
Are gingival diseases "acquired tooth disease"...gingivae are not part of the teeth...
If this template should be kept, it should contain only those pathoses which the title covers: tooth diseases, and serve as a sub template to the main Template:oral pathology.
So, suggest remove the following conditions from this template and include them in the main oral pathology template (some are already included there). It could be argued that some of these pathoses are odontogenic in origin.
- Acute apical periodontitis
- Chronic apical periodontitis
- Combined periodontic-endodontic lesions
- Fistula
- Periapical abscess
- Phoenix abscess
- Radicular cyst
- Periapical abscess
- Gingivitis
- Periodontitis
- Chronic periodontitis
- Periodontal disease
- Toothache (for the purposes of this template, do we need both toothache and pulpitis?)
and others...Lesion (talk) 12:43, 25 February 2013 (UTC)
- The sister Template:Developmental tooth disease does not seem to have this problem of scope at all.
- Suggest reduce this template to match the scope of developmental tooth disease, and move unwanted content to Template:oral pathology if it isn't already listed there... Lesion (talk) 12:57, 25 February 2013 (UTC)
