I've incorporated some of the ideas in the Toronto Maple Leafs template and I wanted to see if anyone thought this looked better.

Oh my gosh on the Culture/lore
[edit]You really need to put the rivalies Section. you can't fill Culture/lore that's too much —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.194.235.61 (talk) 06:34, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
- Some teams have richer histories than others and the Flyers arguably have the richest history of any non-Original Six team. A "Rivals" section only leads to an ever expanding list of "rivals" that for example links to Toronto Maple Leafs and not to a hypothetical "Flyers - Maple Leafs rivalry" or a section on why those teams are supposedly rivals. --24.152.220.10 (talk) 02:27, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Retired numbers
[edit]Looking at other professional sports, they all have either a section in the team navbox or a separate navbox for players with retired numbers, wondering if we could do this, or is it banned from NHL teams? I'd be happy to do it. Please leave response on talk page, thanks, Peetlesnumber1 (talk) 23:43, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
Culture and lore section
[edit]Besides It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The Goldbergs, you have:
- Simpsons Treehouse of Horror IV - '76 Flyers on Jury of the Damned
- The Mighty Ducks - the goalie is a Flyers/Hextall fan
- Bones - frequent references to Flyers throughout series
- Boy Meets World - references to Flyers throughout series
- Slap Shot - opposing team in final game wearing jerseys similar to Flyers
- Naked Gun 33 1/3 - Kings/Flyers featured in opening credits sequence
- This Is 40 - 4 Flyers cameo (I don't know if they are identified as such)
- Open Water - The female lead (the daughter of a former club president) is reading a Flyers media guide in one scene. Few noticed.
I'm sure there are others, but this is just what I can think of off the top of my head. You know what they all have in common? They have little to do with Philadelphia Flyers hockey. The culture/lore section is supposed to list things about the Flyers culture, not to list instances the Flyers have been mentioned in popular culture. --Parkfly20 (talk) 18:48, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
