AcroCore is a subgenre of metal spearheaded by one man,Volk. Started in 2006 and borrowing fromMetal, Black Metal, Punk, Rock, Industrial, Gothic and other sources of non-metalic sounding music.Some of the music that influences the genre comes from bands such as The Doors, Jimmi Hendrix, Marilyn Manson, Carcass, Cannibal Corpse, The Misfits, NIN, Beck, Dissection, Danzig and Behemoth to name only a few. It's themes,lyrically,are often grim,philisophical,alot like the crux of its influence which comes from the darker side of music,it is however not without a sense of humor or its share of fiction. Acrocore is still in its infancy,a good example of its sound and intentions in the music world can be found on myspace.
