To tell you the truth, I was surprised by all the support I've gotten. I never saw myself as more than an occasional Wiki-hobbyist, but now there are two phoenix My wife sends her curses, as Wikipedia will likely suck up more of my time. She jokingly (I think) said she was tempted to log on to Wikipedia just to vote Oppose and let everyone know that she didn't want her husband to be an admin. A support vote from a Wikipedia vet such as yourself meant a great deal to me. I'll make sure your trust in me is founded. Thank you for your recent nomination of me for admin. It happened I was on an unannounced wikibreak at the time, and here it is a week later before I found out you nominated me :o. I think it best I wait a month and get back in the wiki-groove before I entertain such a nomination, but it is greatly appreciated. NoSeptember talk 19:37, 3 January 2006 (UTC)

My RfA[edit]
Todah rabah l'ben Avraham![edit]I stand before the unchallenged master of RfAs, he who received by far more support than anyone ever, and offer my humble thanks that you offered me your support. I will do my very best to be a good admin who is of solid use to the Wikipedia project. Should you have questions about any of my actions, or desire my assistance with anything, please do ask! Thanks again, Mr. BD2412, Babajobu 23:32, 6 January 2006 (UTC) Thanks[edit]
Pgk's RFA
Thanks for your support on my request for adminship. The final outcome was (80/3/0), so I am now an administrator. I was flattered by the level of support and the comments, so I'm under real pressure not to disappoint, thus if you have any queries, suggestions or problems with any of my actions as an admin then please leave me a note --pgk(talk) 10:41, 8 January 2006 (UTC)Thanks[edit]Many thanks for your support on my request for adminiship, I'm sure you'll be glad to know the final result was 92/1/0. I am now an administrator and (as always) if I do anything you have issue with, please talk about it with me. -- RfA thanks from rogerd[edit]Hi BD2412- Thanks for your support on my RfA. If I can be of any service please leave me a message --rogerd 01:40, 13 January 2006 (UTC) Belated thanks[edit]I now have a few extra tabs at the top of my Wikipedia pages. Thanks for your support. I'm Ready[edit]Well, I'm back in the groove :). I have filled out my parts of the RfA subpage (except the acceptance signature). Because of the time delay, I will leave it to you to submit it when you choose to, giving you a chance to make any changes you want or even to reconsider what may have been a rash decision on your part (^_~) Cheers, NoSeptember talk 00:15, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
Trolling[edit]I am disappointed to see that this vote has been cast. I conversed with the editor and he/she apparently has an unbelievably high standard for adminship that few people would meet. I'm glad there are folks like you who will assume good faith, but I see it as trolling and nothing more...not one article of merit and not any major contribution that I can find. [1]--MONGO 07:39, 15 January 2006 (UTC) Also note this vote: [2] whereby everyone else oppose and masssiveego supports, which conflicts with my last statement.--MONGO 07:45, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

My RfB and Award[edit]Hi BD. I'm just dropping by to thank you for your support in my RfB. I would also like to tell you that I'm very thankful for all the work you did while it was still running: updating the tally, flagging the "new Boothy" and so on. I have no words to express how much I appreciate it. Mr. BD2412, I thank you for the confidence that you have had in me. Guess what? I almost got 25% of the support votes that you got ;-) and I won't admit to any of them voting for me just because you nominated me (though some surely did). I wasn't thinking of becoming an admin, but there are a few things I think I could contribute in that role, and you have seen to it that I have that opportunity. I will do my best and welcome your feedback. NoSeptember talk 12:32, 22 January 2006 (UTC) --This is my one-time-only special Gold signature :-) RfA Thanks[edit]Please accept my embarrassingly belated thank you for supporting my RfA, which much to my surprise passed 102/1/1, earning me minor notoriety. I am grateful for all the supportive comments, and have already started doing the things people wanted me to be able to do. And hopefully nothing else... Just zis Guy, you know? Thank you[edit]Thanks for your last-second support on my RfA! You were of course the final vote, and it succeeded 71/1/0. Ergo, I'm an admin now and I will get started on admin cleanup work! See you in the secret cabal lounge. Ashibaka tock 00:28, 31 January 2006 (UTC) My RFA[edit]Hi BD2412, thanks for participating in my RfA discussion. Unfortunately, my fellow Wikipedians have decided at this time that I am not suitable to take on this additional responsibility, as the RfA failed with a result of 66/27/5 (71.0% support). If you voted in support of my request, thank you! If you decided to oppose me at this time, then I hope that if I do choose to reapply in the future, the effort I will make in the meantime to improve and expand my contributions to Wikipedia may persuade you to reconsider your position. Three weeks of admin tools[edit]Today three weeks have passed since I was granted access to the administrator toolbox. During this time I have made use of it in the following way:
I've found that the rollback tool is much more useful than I'd thought for vandalism patrol. In fact it makes that task so easy that I've been doing it more than before. On the other hand I've been surprised by how little the blocking tool is needed. Having done a significant amount of vandalism patrol I have still only blocked one solitary vandal. The great majority of addresses which send out a vandal edit do so only once. Those who do it more often usually stop after a warning or two. Only rarely is a block actually needed and in those cases someone usually beats me to it. As a side note I haven't retired from writing articles either. I'm still hoping to bring Freyr up to featured status but even though I've already performed more edits on it than on Hrafnkels saga back in the day, a lot of work remains to be done. Community expectations for featured articles have gone up and so have my own ambitions. I'm currently waiting for a couple of books I ordered to arrive and then I may be able to make the final push. I'm trying my best to live up to the trust you showed in me by supporting my RFA. If ever you feel uncertain whether I'm using the admin tools in the best interests of the project, let me know. I am at any time willing to relinquish the mop and reapply for it to address concerns people have and ensure that I'm not using the admin tools without being trusted to do so. Incidentally, the quite substantial amount of discussion on his previous unaccepted RfA is a good example of why we shouldn't just blanket delete them all. And encourage him to move along for me! Christopher Parham (talk) 04:30, 14 February 2006 (UTC) Kappa's prospective RFA[edit]Howdy, I noted your comment on RFA discussion mentioning "holding open" an adminship nomination for as long as it takes, and immediately guessed that Kappa was the user in question, based on my own admiration for him, and the comment you made about him at your own RFA. Given that Mr. Spade's nomination is encountering more resistence than I'd expected over old issues, I'm even more worried that the most dedicated "deletionists" will make a fuss over Kappa 3, much as happened during Kappa 2. I come to you sadly without any idea of how these anticipated opposers might be mollified, but with a willingness to help if you have plans that might accomplish this end. Also, I stand ready to assist in prodding the understandly reluctant nominee into accepting the nomination he richly deserves. Best wishes, Xoloz 01:41, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

Thank you![edit]Thank you very much for your support during my recent Admin election, I appreciate the trust that you have put in me. Please contact me if you have any questions, comments or concerns regarding my work as an admin. Kind Regards, Elf-friend 08:14, 17 February 2006 (UTC) Thanks[edit]Thanks for taking the time to vote in my RfA, which passed with a final vote of 54/2/1 despite my obvious inadequacy for the job. I'll do my level best to use the mop and bucket — or, as I said in my RfA, plunger — responsibly. Of course, in the best tradition of politicans everywhere, I've already broken a campaign promise (I blocked a vandal last night despite having said "I don't anticipate using the blocking tool very often"). Nevertheless, I'll try not to let the unbridled power corrupt me. —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 19:37, 14 February 2006 (UTC) Thank you[edit]Hello BD2412, thank you for you support in my RfA. Gazpacho[edit]I noticed the message you left on Gazpacho's user talk... you probably already know this, but you can find a list of who's an admin here, so there's no need to ask users like Gazpacho, who's not an admin, if he is an admin. KI 19:20, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
Talk:RfA[edit]Hi, so I fail to see where the personal attack was in my comments. A false accusation was made against me, I disproved it and that's a personal attack? However, I believe declined RfB's are supposed to be deleted, for which mine has just been overlooked. I'll let it sit, I guess. BD2412 T 01:37, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
