- I can speak, read, and write fluently in both English and Spanish.

- I also speak, read, and write in French and Italian.
- Though not able to use them fluently, I can get through a conversation in Basque and Armenian.
- I learned Armenian only so I could win over a particular girl I was besmitten by. It worked.
- My family is from Valparaiso, Chile
- My ancestors were Basque and Italian.
- I hate eggs.
- Walter Gieseking, Ivan Moravec, Claudio Arrau, Magda Tagliaferro, and William Kapell are my favorite pianists.
- Willem Mengelberg, Sir Thomas Beecham, Otto Klemperer, Charles Munch, Leopold Stokowski, Eugen Szenkar, Ernest Borsamsky, Frederick Stock, and Wilhelm Furtwangler are my favorite conductors.
- La Famila P. Luche may be my all-time favorite show.
- Another favorite show of mine is the Dotch Cooking Show.
- I'm a registered Democrat.
- I shared an elevator with former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger once in 1999. I was too awe-struck to say anything.
- I first read Cervantes' Don Quixote when I was six.
- I love the films of Jacques Tati.
- My very favorite films are Playtime, The Magnificent Ambersons, 8 1/2, King Lear, Citizen Kane, Modern Times, The Life Aquatic, Closely Watched Trains, Good Morning, F for Fake, North by Northwest, and El ministro y yo.
- Bronislaw Huberman is my favorite violinist.
- I own about 3000 CDs, about 1500 musical scores, and about 1000 books.
- Did I mention I'm a big 24 fan?
- I think Charles Ives and Silvestre Revueltas are the greatest composers to have emerged from the American continent.
- I lived for a total of eight months in Mexicali and Los Mochis, Mexico back in 2005. I did not want to come back home.
- The NES and Super Nintendo may have been the most perfect video game systems ever created.
- Music from cartoons and video games were what inspired me to study music seriously.
- I'm a big baseball and soccer fan.
- I'm a Dodgers fan.
- I'm a Santiago Wanderers fan.
- Basketball seems like a silly sport to me.
- Friz Freleng, Tex Avery, and Bob Clampett were the greatest cartoon directors that ever walked the face of this earth!
