The Chicago International Model United Nations (CIMUN) is a four day Model UN conference for high schools students held annually each December in Chicago, IL. The largest independent program of its kind in the Midwestern United States, CIMUN attracts nearly 1,000 participants from around the world, and features simulations of both United Nations bodies, such as the UN UN Security Council and UN General Assembly, as well as various other Non-Governmental Organizations and National Cabinets. Unlike most other high school conferences, all committees at CIMUN feature real-time crisis simulations, and are able to interact with one another in a joint reality.

Originally founded in 2004 by students from the University of Illinois at Chicago, CIMUN is now organized by the Model United Nations Development Organization (MUNDO), a Chicago-based social enterprise that develops interactive international relations curricula for students at the high school and college level, and is staffed by students and post-graduates from over 50 different universities.
