My name is Jayant. I am 19 years old, and I am from India. And I live in Visakhapatnam, a city on the South Eastern side of India. I was born on 4th December, 1988.
I like to read a lot, and I like to ask lots of questions. I also play lots of sports including basketball and table tennis. I love to travel but I have travelled outside of my country only to Kuwait, where I spent more than 2 months, in the summer (it wasn't pretty :-). One day I hope I will have the opportunity to travel to much more cooler places. I have travelled a lot in South India. I must tell you this is because I live in the state of Andhra Pradesh, which is in South India. I have also travelled a bit of North India as well, like Delhi, Agra, Himachal Pradesh and some more. Although I am not always able to travel where I want, Wikipedia allows me to explore our world and its history.
I like to read mysteries, philosophy, and a lot of Science fiction.
I love music and I play guitar. I was in a band named Cosa Nostra (Though my parents didn't know about it!!). Now I play in a metal band called Mephistopheles. I play the bass guitar in the band. My music preferences are metal, rock, indie, and most recently Post-rock.
We recorded a song. You can listen to it here if you want to.
Its just instrumental though. And the drums are through a drum machine. I played the bass, and another band mate
played the guitars.
The tentacled flathead (Papilloculiceps longiceps) is a species of marine fish belonging to the flathead family, Platycephalidae. It is found in the western Indian Ocean, including the Red Sea, and also in the Mediterranean Sea, probably as a result of migration through the Suez Canal. The tentacled flathead is a well camouflaged, ambush predator of fish and crustaceans, living near coral reefs on sand or rubble substrates at depths of up to 15 metres (49 feet). The species has an elongate body, with a maximum published length of 70 centimetres (28 inches), although 50 centimetres (20 inches) is more typical. It has a depressed head with five prominent nuchal spines, ridges on its operculum and preoperculum, a spine on the rear of the suborbital ridge, and smaller spines elsewhere. The body is mottled brownish or greenish dorsally, and whitish ventrally. There are three or four dark bands on the caudal fin, and the other fins are marked with large, dark blotches. This tentacled flathead was photographed in the Red Sea in Ras Muhammad National Park, off the southern coast of the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt.Photograph credit: Diego Delso
