find a mentor to adopt you on Wikipedia
[edit]- If would like to find a mentor to adopt you on Wikipedia, copy this: {{subst:dated adoptme}} and put it on your user page to request adoption. You can also ask me if you have questions.• Ling.Nut 01:52, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
- I'd be willing to adopt you, of course. • Ling.Nut 04:14, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Auroraaurora! I'd be happy to adopt you. You can leave a message for me any time you have any questions, or you can email me. If you are working on a project, let me know and I'll try to take a look at it. Looking forward to working with you! • Ling.Nut 22:39, 20 September 2010 (UTC)

Abejones
[edit]I took a look at Abejones today and saw that User:Magioladitis has done some expansion work on it. I left him/her a message asking him/her to work with you. However, the expansion of the Toponomy section does not meet our class standards. You should work on two new sections of the article in order to be ready for Oct 5. The section by the other editor does not count towards your work.Thelmadatter (talk) 17:16, 25 September 2010 (UTC)

El Espinal
[edit]I took a quick look at your El Espinal article. You have only a lead and one section and neither is long enough. Remember you need to have three paragraphs total (1 for the lead and 1 each for the two sections) of 8 to 10 sentences each. In the History section, you state that the town had an important role in the Mexican War of Independence but you dont state what that was.Thelmadatter (talk) 18:50, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
Adoption request
[edit]Hello there, Auroraaurora! I'm Netalarm and I have been around for quite some time now. I'm messaging you because I've noticed that you've indicated that you want to be adopted on your user page. I'd be more than happy to help you find a match for an adopter. All you have to do is fill out the survey located here so I can have the necessary information to match you up. Of course, you may also choose your own adopter - the instructions to do so are also on that page. If you have any questions, feel free to message me on my talk page.
Once again, welcome to Wikipedia! Netalarmtalk 04:51, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I've noticed that you have been adding your signature to some of your edits to articles, such as the edit you made to El Espinal. This is a common mistake to make and has probably already been corrected. There is no need to sign your edits to article content, as the article's edit history serves the function of attributing contributions, so you only need to use your signature to make discussions more readable, such as on article talk pages or project pages such as the Village Pump. If you would like further information about distinguishing types of pages, please see What is an article?. Again, thank you for contributing, and enjoy your Wikipedia experience! Thank you. tedder (talk) 19:49, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

copyright vio
[edit]Ive gotten a message warning about copyright violations in student work. Ive told the Wikipedian to feel free to tag any copyright violations that appear. Please realize that if this appears on your article and is not addressed, you will lose points on your grade.Thelmadatter (talk) 15:33, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- It was a general warning that I sent to everybody, in case anyone received a tag on their article advising of a copyright violation. I honestly havent seen any but I just wanted to be sure as I had received a message about it.Thelmadatter (talk) 18:26, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

[edit]- Hello Auroraaurora, I'm your mentor. After much thought etc. I've decided that the Wikipedia chapter of my life should draw to a close. I do sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. I'm sure that many editors will be happy to be your mentor. Again, sorry for the inconvenience. Best of luck! • Ling.Nut (talk) 00:55, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
