False Edit
I have received a message claiming I have made an edit to a Martha clan page, however I have not made any edits at all. Please clarify. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.183.55.250 (talk) 03:37, 8 February 2015 (UTC)
- You are referring to this edit (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Maratha_clan_system&diff=212817273&oldid=212817019). However, given this is a IP address edit, someone else who used this IP address in the past have made the edit for which I reverted. You do not need to worry about it, particularly it has been a number of years.--Cahk (talk) 01:06, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
File: Royal Heraldry Society of Canada
Hi,
i has written the article about Royal Heraldry Society of Canada in german language. Can you take the image/logo of the Society in the infobox in german article? Thanks!
Best Regards --Wissenschaftler-Uni (talk) 13:28, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
- You can upload the image to the German version of the article. The image cannot be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons because it is a fair use image, which would otherwise make the image available across all Wikipedia language sites.--Cahk (talk) 19:52, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:CFSEU.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:CFSEU.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 00:14, 19 March 2015 (UTC)

- @Celvakumar: I tagged your article because, as the notice explains, you created a conflict of interest by writing an article about your own project (you put your own name in the "Founder" entry of the infobox); you removed the deletion notice that another editor added without actually resolving the problem; and you don't have any sources except the company website and blog (those are considered bad sources because they're too closely related to the subject of articles). Hi, Cahk. Please limit your reports in WP:UAA. Thanks. Pikachu2568 (talk) 05:13, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) As a longtime contributor to UAA, I can vouch for the fact that admins won't take action on accounts with no edit history at all. If they seem related to a real business/organization/group, {{uw-username}} seems to be the most appropriate response.
- If they have edited but only in the draft space and it's promotional, then {{uw-coi-username}} is the most effective.
- But if they edit in the mainspace or userspace, UAA is fair game. --Drm310 (talk) 05:27, 23 March 2015 (UTC)

CSD tagging speed
Hey, I noticed you tagged Tom Fexas as A7, when, after a google search, it's seen that Fexas is a notable person in the yacht designing world. Tagging within a minute or two of article creation is something that should be avoided, as new article creators may not have had enough time to insert references and the like that counter a potential CSD tagging. I know it's easy enough to just click the Twinkle button (I was guilty of it as well), but you probably should wait a couple of minutes in the future before tagging. All the best, Buggie111 (talk) 22:44, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
The tagging speed issue was my fault
I have created a handful of pages which, once finished, worked out well. However I did not edit this page Tom Fexas in a sandbox first, I simply created the new page, added the first couple of sentences, and was going to continue editing from there. I had done that with past pages, but I see that you now have bots to instantly catch that sort of thing before the page can be completed. In the future I will edit the entire page before posting it, my apology. That will have the added benefit of being able to finish the page I started, rather than having someone else immediately take it over and block me out while they research the article I had already researched and was prepared to write. :-) But thanks for the help, much appreciated. I removed the Chance 'scandal' on the Skeletonwitch page because neither he or Skeletonwitch have publically made a statement about it and as nobody really knows a lot of information and it could be twisted around very easily I believe they (And I, as a respectful fan) would much rather have it kept as lowkey as possible — Preceding unsigned comment added by Misscadaveroux (talk • contribs) 21:38, 2 April 2015 (UTC)

Cj harvey.
Hi. I changed the reason to A7 when deleting. You can't use A11 for people or solid things. It's for things that someone has made up, like a new word (used in one small class in a school in a place no-one has heard of), or a new drinking game (Vodka and blackcurrant Pong), or a new game (bearing a strong resemblance to cricket, but played with a rounders bat). Possibly real - but absolutely non-notable - not even up and coming. We assume good faith (cough cough) and call it A11 and bin it. Now people, we have A7 for real and non-notable, prod/AfD for fictional (i.e. published or mythical characters) and non-notable, and G3 hoax for ones that aren't real and aren't documented anywhere. Hoax also applies to made up solid things, because they are pure misinformation. While six people might be using the new word 'plurget' (what's left of last night's pizza), the island of Woggletopping (in the English Channel - only appears on the third Thursday of a month containing two full moons and if the weather is foggy) is definitely not in use by anyone - and so is a hoax. Peridon (talk) 21:19, 3 April 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion U5
Hi, I noticed you have been tagging a number of user pages with CSD:U5. However, there is some reasonable leeway allowed for what people can include in the user pages, and I think you are being a little too zealous in the application of that speedy tag. For example, several of the pages you tagged were actually draft articles that had been submitted at WP:AFC and were very much not an abuse of U5, another looked like it was just the user saying a few things about himself. For some others, it really wasn't clear what the users wanted them for, so we shouldn't assume it's for nefarious reasons. Did you perhaps consider asking any of these users what they wanted those pages for before tagging them for deletion? On the whole, I'd advise only using the CSD:A5 tag for blatant abuse of user pages - especially when it comes to new users who may well be scared off, losing us potential long-term contributors. Squinge (talk) 11:15, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
- I am mindful of the fact userpage can have some leeway. The one U5 I tagged, for which you reversed, appears to be an advertisement for an institution that teaches IT. Google Translate seem to indicate to me the user was promoting the institution's credentials, coupled with contact information and website. I would think that would fairly be seen as advertisement (maybe not CSD standard, but AfD at a minimum). --Cahk (talk) 18:28, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
- I actually reverted several of your taggings, but I can't remember what they were now (and my contributions list is quite long because was very busy yesterday and I can't really find them now). I've recently seen several people jumping on U5 deletions almost as soon as a new editor arrives, tagging their pages for just including a bit of information about themselves or because the pages contains something not obviously understandable. I think U5 should only be used for obvious misuse over some longer period, with new editors given time to see if they really are going to start contributing. Many start here by just playing with their user pages for a while to get the hang of things, and there's nothing at all wrong with that. Slapping them with U5 deletions very soon after they have joined, without even any offer to help on their talk page and guide them into using the site, seems very bitey to me and is not likely to help retain editors who mean well. Also, when it comes to draft articles for creation, at least they're going through the right process, and unless their creation is obviously so problematic that it needs immediate deletion I think it's better to leave their submission to be reviewed and hopefully give them some useful feedback on how to improve their attempts. (And use of user space for creating draft articles for creation is surely never an abuse of U5). Anyway, those are just my thoughts, offered after seeing quite a lot of newcomers getting various deletion notices and other slapdowns handed out, when what they really need is a helping hand or to be just left alone to feel their way around. Squinge (talk) 08:03, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification on U5. I see in total 3 were declined. With respect to your comment about being bitey - I look at WP:UPNOT, particularly "Excessive unrelated content" as guide. I suppose CSD is not always necessary.--Cahk (talk) 11:02, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah, OK, fair enough - and thanks for considering my thoughts. Squinge (talk) 11:23, 7 April 2015 (UTC)

Hello Cahk. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of User:JeremiahBennett, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: I think this is an acceptable user page wthin the guidelines. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 17:57, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
- I am surprised. The userpages I tagged this morning were all along the same line, but without the work email, personal email, phone number, etc on this user page, and they were all speedy deleted as U5.--Cahk (talk) 18:02, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
- The difference I see here is that he expresses an intention to contribute to the encyclopedia, so he is not the usual U5 target, a Facebooker interested only in social-networking. U5 contains an exemption for "résumé-style pages" and what he says about himself is not irrelevant to possible contributions. I did remove the phone and email details, and explained why on his talk page. JohnCD (talk) 18:50, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
- We'll just have to agree to disagree. His 'blog' is not functional, and therefore, the link to his website really is just to promote the company. Just to be clear, EVERY U5 I tagged this morning said they want to contribute, but clearly was functioning just as an advertisement/social network page.--Cahk (talk) 18:59, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
- Well, we disagree, and different admins are likely to have different thresholds; take this one to WP:MFD if you like, but I see nothing there that goes against WP:UPYES. The sort of thing I think U5 is directed against is the detailed Facebook-style life-history and list of schools, relatives, hobbies etc, often from a teenage Indian and illustrated with pictures like this of the subject gazing moodily through sunglasses.

Second, I tagged the page for speedy deletion because the article has not shown the reader why this person is notable. I suggest you read WP:BAND. I am not prepared yet for the things to be discussed in the page, so I am hoping if you can help me. That is, if the page is deleted can I still make one of the same title? Thank You! Absred (talk) 10:30, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
- @Absred:: Hi Absred! I tagged the page as speedy delete because it had no content whatsoever, and would appear to me to be a test page. If you are interested in creating an article on that subject matter, I would suggest you to create a draft (see Wikipedia:Drafts) first. This lets everyone know your article is a work-in-progress, and is not necessarily just a test. Yes, you can create another article under the same title. Hope that helps.--Cahk (talk) 16:02, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Rothesay.gif.

Speedy deletion of page "Varun glitz"
Hello sir,the page has right informations and good references. He is the latest trending musician among the school and college students,he is been searched continuously in google by so many fans of him,he has even given interview for South Indian channels like sun music and kalaingar TV.There are no articles about him on Wikipedia about his personal life and professional which everyone searches and doesn't gets it.so I consider that there must be a article about him.Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Karthyraj (talk • contribs) 02:52, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
- I suggest you read WP:BAND. I was not able to find any news article for the person you specified in the article, and any reference to him was self-published. Wikipedia is not an autobiography about the personal life of people, so if that's the only reason an article was created for him, it will very likely be speedy deleted.--Cahk (talk) 03:22, 11 May 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion and retrieving the material (RePack)
Hi there Cahk!
An article I created (RePack) was deleted by you. Perhaps according to A7?
It's been a few weeks but is it possible to retrieve the deleted material? This way I could, possibly, edit it to meet the criteria? Any tips on making a piece about an environmentally and commercially important concept suitable are appreciated. My goal is not to promote, but to create neutral entries about Scandinavian startup companies.
Many thanks in advance.

Would like some advice/direction in writing page...
Hello,
I recently joined Wikipedia and am interested in contributing in a variety of ways. However, my first task is an externally motivated one.
I would like to create an article for a company, which I understand is a tricky process. I would like to be as up front and honest as possible about any conflict on interest I may have. I am currently an intern for this company (Falcon's Treehouse) and, in researching news and articles about our company, I noticed that there was no wikipedia article. Not aware of wikipedia's rules limiting company articles, I voluntarily brought this up to a superior who was thrilled at the option of getting a page on our company on Wikipedia. I tried to write something small, which was immediately deleted.
Now that I have come to understand the nature of Wikipedia's rules a bit more, I would like to request any time you may have to give me any advice on how to proceed? I want to be clear that we have every intention of complying with Wikipedia's restrictions, as well as any concerns you may have. We do NOT want a marketing platform, simply an informative page about the company's basic information. My interest in creating an article stemmed from the discovery that there are many articles written about the company's creations (we make theme parks and attractions), but none about the company, itself.
Again, I'd like to say that though this is my first intended article as a Wikipedia user, I am very interested in contributing in additional ways as well, and I'm hoping this will be a great learning experience for me to help out in the future.
Thank you for your time! Vanihba02 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vanihba02 (talk • contribs) 15:22, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Vanihba02: Thank you for writing to me. One of the reasons I tagged the article was the lack of independent reporting/mention,etc on the company that was referenced(see WP:ORG). Another reason is if the article is directed as "we see/make xyz", it may be interpreted as advertisement (or at least WP:COI). As you've said, it's not easy to write an acceptable organization page unless it's somewhat established. I suggest inviting a disinterested party to comb through the article before publishing.
- You can also use the draft features (see Wikipedia:Drafts) or alternatively, Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk. These can be places to start, and you will receive feedbacks as you go.--Cahk (talk) 06:22, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
Thank you
Thank you for your response to my inquiry. I appreciate it and will take your comments into consideration as I try to write this article. I am finding as many objective sources as possible.

Sin the Saint deletion
Hi Cahk,
It states that the page was speedily deleted due to an article about a band, singer, musician, or musical ensemble, which does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject.
First, I would like to say the page was only up for less than 24 hours. I did not include a detailed information on biography, singing aptitude/significance with regards to Rwanda and etc, shows, label and etc. More edits were needed; I was under the assumption that Wikipedia pages were living documents, so I could put up a skeleton framework; and I can add more to it by this weekend or as I choose and others could contribute as well. Please advise.
I definitely do not think this warrants a deletion. Please revert; I hope this reaches your favorable consideration. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aoj2099 (talk • contribs) 12:27, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Aoj2099: To clarify, I only tagged the article as non-notable musician. An administrator who reviewed my tag agreed and deleted the article. I don't have the administrative privilege to revive the page. I'd suggest you contact the administrator who deleted the article instead. I'd also suggest that you read WP:MUSICBIO before creating or reviving the article. --Cahk (talk) 18:05, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Cahk: How can you tag something that has not even been up for even 12 hours? Common courtesy after all the work put into it would to recommend to the user to move it to draft for further editing. You are Ridiculous and trigger happy!!!
- @Aoj2099: Please direct me to a Wikipedia page that said I MUST wait 12 hours (or whatever arbitrary time) before tagging the article. The article you created was not notable, and was subsequently deleted by an administrator. I don't know why you'd think the result would be any different if the article is tagged at a later time.--Cahk (talk) 19:57, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Cahk: Whatever the case is you were trigger happy and you suck...case closed!!!
- @Aoj2099: Say whatever you want. --Cahk (talk) 15:33, 31 August 2015 (UTC)

Hello, How are you? I am Maria, I wrote an article about Federico Minieri, I wanted to ask information about this. I have interview Federico at the Burberry fashion show of London aside Christopher bailey and Donatella Versace and have assisted live his interview for fashion magazine. I will fix any needed fixing but I do not retain that my page was a hoax as I did find it a bit offensive. I have put much time and effort into researching the facts and after much interest in this individual and requests I have chosen to write the article. Federico was notified about me wiring the article and has given me consent. I don't think it should have been deleted as it is 100% accurate and much wanted article and I would like to insists and bring this case forward. I thank you for your time in advance, and if anything else must be done I will do as soon as possible.
Kind Regards Maria John — Preceding unsigned comment added by MariaJohn1 (talk • contribs) 00:01, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
- @MariaJohn1: This is not a matter of whether the article is offensive or whether consent was given. The article was deemed to be a hoax because:
- a) A Google search of the name, and the same picture as the article shows the person's occupation as a voice actor.
- b) The article consisted of no independent sources of this person
- c) There's no mention of him at any of the company he alleged to work for
- d) The information in the article is inconsistent for the person described and
- e) Most importantly, the article was deleted as hoax from another account, and you recreated it under a new account for no apparent reason.--Cahk (talk) 00:11, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

Nuverz
Dear Cahk:
Thank you very much for the deletion notice. As you can see, this is the first time I'm trying to create an article on wikipedia, and even though I'm trying to follow the instructions, it's harder than I thought (at least for a novice like me). My intention was to keep the article on Nuverz as a draft, instead of as a published page. The reason I'm writing on them is mainly that, as a professor I am myself, these new ways of engaging into education are to me more and more appealing, and I'm considering starting a series of posts on these new educational tools. However, your notice is right: I should develop the post way more before publishing (that's the reason why I wanted it to be a draft but, alas, I'm really clumsy when it comes to this platform).
Having said that, I already scheduled it for self-deletion. Thanks again for calling my attention on that matter! Esparzari (talk) 21:09, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Esparzari: Not a problem - thanks for leaving a nice message on my page. If you need help, please head over to Wikipedia:Help desk or Wikipedia:New contributors' help page.--Cahk (talk) 21:26, 14 August 2015 (UTC)

- @Gmaildamn: For the record, you are not eligible to take that action. The Wikipedia:Page Curation/Help page states "only autoconfirmed users can actually review." You are a brand new user, and thus, should not be engaged in the exercise of reviewing or unreviewing. Further, when a page is tagged as CSD, it is automatically marked as reviewed. --Cahk (talk) 06:25, 20 August 2015 (UTC)
- Umm..well I think that reason is not quite good or that's my fault?[[2]]?Gmaildamn (talk) 06:30, 20 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Gmaildamn: The subject of the article already has an article in place. It is a duplication, and therefore, can be speedy deleted (WP:A10). I reiterate, you ARE NOT eligible to review articles as you are not an auto-confirmed user yet. I think you meant well, but you appears to not understand the rules of Wikipedia just yet.--Cahk (talk) 06:35, 20 August 2015 (UTC)
- You meant that new auto-confirmed user should not be engaged in the "exercise" of reviewing or unreviewing? If that's true can I use it for tagging deletion of some tags?Gmaildamn (talk) 06:41, 20 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Gmaildamn: You need to understand reviewing is not the same as editing or tagging articles. The Wikipedia:Page Curation/Help is explicit as to who should be reviewing the articles. Until you become an auto-confirmed user, I suggest you refrain from doing it. However, you can add speedy deletion tag per WP:CSD "Anyone can request speedy deletion by adding one of the speedy deletion templates." --Cahk (talk) 06:46, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

If you want your own website, feel free to buy a domain, or build one with a website provider. Wikipedia is not here for you to promote yourself, or create your own autobiography. Hey, Cahk. A bunch of us admins have talked, and while we appreciate your many years of service to this encyclopedia, we are having a difficult time coming up with a non-phallic interpretation of your user name. Therefore, with a heavy heart, I am blocking you. You may request unblock to issue a change-username request; obviously your name is the only reason for your block.
Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.
A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
- Adding
{{unblock-un|your new username here}}
on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page. - At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
- Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
- Adding
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Favonian (talk) 14:58, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Fovonion: If you (let's just say I have an idea who you are) continue to vandalize my user page (and impersonate an actual administrator), I'll request a global review of accounts so you cannot edit on Wikipedia again. Grow up, idiot.--Cahk (talk) 23:45, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
Continuation
Sorry for making this a new section---your talk page is too huge for my ponderously stupid "smart" phone to edit it as a whole. Anyway, re:your comments to Fovonion:
- 1. I highly, highly doubt you know who I am, as I myself didn't know who you were till a few short weeks ago.
- 2. "Grow up, idiot" seems rather pot-and-kettle coming from someone whose username is slang for male genitalia, unless it actually means something else and I've been wrong this whole time. You've never actually addressed that, I notice. If you don't mind my asking, what is the point of your username? Is it really as crude as it looks?
Umadbroornaw (talk) 16:52, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Umadbroornaw: My username has a meaning, but for which is none of your business. Just because you decide to Google it, and someone posted a 'definition' of cahk and you happened to accept the silly 'definition', it does not make it so. Your action constitutes multiple infractions against Wikipedia rules, and so, yes, grow up and stop acting like a teenager.--Cahk (talk) 18:22, 3 September 2015 (UTC)

Foreign-language articles
Thanks for tagging 科林·汤普森 just now. Since you had correctly tagged it with A10, there was no need for the para on the author's talk page about WP:PNT and translating it, and I have removed that so as not to confuse them.
For authors of foreign-language articles, who often don't know any other WP exists, there is at WP:PNT/T a useful series of templates, may of them bilingual, to point them to their home WP. I have given this one {{subst:contrib-zh1}}. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 10:27, 26 October 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion
Hi,
I noticed that you tagged several articles for speedy deletion because Wikipedia is not a dictionary. However, that is not a speedy criterion, so I changed them all to PRODs. Adam9007 (talk) 03:27, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
- @Adam9007: I am at a lost of word with your continuous disagreement with my CSD tags (and for the record - re: Lankadesigners.com, the article was deleted with not one commenters said to keep it but you. Sadik h khan was clearly invented and agreed upon by the commenters thus far). I have tagged more articles than you would care on WINAD, for which were ALL subsequently speedily deleted. Why? Because expanding the articles will still result in CSD since they duplicate existing articles. --Cahk (talk) 06:06, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
- @Cahk: As it stands, the articles you recently tagged are just dictionary definitions, which cannot be speedy deleted. A11 requires there to be no credible claim of significance in addition to it being made up. As for Lankadesigners.com, I did not say keep it; in fact it was I who nominated it for deletion. Just because I don't think it can be speedy deleted, doesn't mean I don't think it should be deleted at all. I am merely pointing out that some things simply cannot be speedy deleted, and have to go through PROD or AfD. Adam9007 (talk) 16:05, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
- @Cahk: You did it again on Job title and job serch; you should have PRODded it instead, as WP:NOT is not a speedy criteria Adam9007 (talk) 00:08, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

Administrator intervention against vandalism
Thanks for your reports at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Obviously, we depend on volunteers such as you bringing vandals to our attention, so that we can deal with them. However, reporting editors who have not edited for a long time, such as a year or more, is not helpful, as it takes up administrator time which could be more usefully employed on issues which are current. The green box at the top of the page Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism, with instructions about making reports, says "The warnings must have been given recently and the users must be active now" (original emphasis), but you have made reports where not only is the editor long since inactive, but there have also never been any warning to the editor at all. - @Pamela eid: First, please do not remove the previous messages that were posted. You can simply continue the conversation by adding your comments below. Hi, Cahk. Thanks for your report about User:TweetyDeal Inc. I've deleted the promotional userpage and blocked the account. But for another time, it may be better to report cases like that (=promotional username, promotional edits) to WP:UAA. The admins who patrol WP:AIV sometimes concentrate on looking for warnings, which is no good in such cases, and may get your report rejected. Also, posting an advertisement isn't "vandalism" as such: of course it's misuse of Wikipedia, but it may be done in simple ignorance. Anyway, good work, happy editing. Speedy deletion nomination of Usertalk:DiaTiger/Apologie Messages
A tag has been placed on Usertalk:DiaTiger/Apologie Messages requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I edited the page in question during a lecture to my class, letting them know how easily Wikipedia can be edited(Although I do think this site is a wonderful source of information, it does have its flaws.). The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Speedy deletion nomination of Badrul Hisyam Manap
Hello Cahk. Thanks for patrolling new pages – it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know, however, that you shouldn't tag pages as lacking context (CSD A1), content (CSD A3),or significance (CSD A7) moments after they are created, as you did at Badrul Hisyam Manap. It's best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Tagging such pages in a very short space of time may drive away well-meaning contributors, which is not good for Wikipedia. Attack pages (G10), blatant nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course be tagged and deleted immediately. Thanks.. An article should not be tagged A7 one minute after a new user has begun to write it! 16:26, 24 November 2015 (UTC)

First, don't care as it relates to your AIV reports. AIV is for reporting active users. If they show back up and start spamming, we'll get them then.
Second, I just went through U5 (empty at the time) and G11 (spam) and they're clear now. Where are your tagged articles that have been around for a week and a half? All pages and categories tagged for CSD show at CAT:CSD. Rarely does something last there longer than 24 hours; we'll either delete it or decline it and remove the tag. If there's something tagged for CSD that's not showing up there, we need to know so we can fix it. Katietalk 16:14, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

I also note I made an AIV report yesterday for an account created 6 days ago, but you cleared it as 'stale'. I am very confused as I have been told a month is acceptable, some say 2-3 weeks? --Cahk (talk) 17:21, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
- I'm going to leave these alone for now so we can get an expert in here. @MusikAnimal: Would you take a look at these? He's tagging pages in user space as G11 and/or U5 using {{db-spam}} and {{db-notwebhost}}, but they're not showing up in CAT:SPAM or even in CAT:CSD. Cahk, are you using Twinkle or Huggle to tag these, or are you doing it manually? Paging NeilN too. Katietalk 22:31, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
- @KrakatoaKatie: I use Twinkle.--Cahk (talk) 04:44, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
(←) Major weirdness! I removed the tag and re-added it, and now it's correctly shown as a member of the speedy category. I'm guess that when a page is put in a category, a job fires off to save it to the database, so that when you browse to the category you'll see that page listed. For whatever reason that "job" must not have fired when you added that tag. Clearly this happens every-so-often as you have pages here that you tagged over a week later with the same issue. My theory is further supported by the fact that the API is not showing these pages as being in a speedy category, e.g. for User_talk:Xavier.kutty (at the time of writing); if you remove and re-add the API response will show the category. I asked on IRC and sure enough it's a known issue. This is definitely a real problem, we could have attack pages and copyright infringement that isn't getting deleted. Fortunately, I'm told this has been fixed and was deployed with MediaWiki v1.27.0-wmf.8, which was set to be deployed to enwiki today, so this may already be fixed :) — MusikAnimal talk 23:45, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
- By "fixed" I mean new categories that are being added. I believe they're going to try to do a null edit everywhere to get all of those old pages into the right category. Not sure how that is going to happen... but I'd say be prepared for a sudden and potentially large inflation of the speedy backlog =P — MusikAnimal talk 23:50, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
Ubroskart
hey bro why did you put speedy deletion on my Ubroskart page. It is an online Shopping company. Follow us https://www.ubroskart.com
- @Dr.suaro: You may wish to refer to Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) for information. You can also get help with your first article at Wikipedia:Teahouse/Questions.--Cahk (talk) 08:49, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- It is not clear what to do exactly to add my page to wikipedia. tell me exactly instead of giving such link. Its just like finding a needle in a haysticks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dr.suaro (talk • contribs) 09:17, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- Please reply what to do to in this case — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dr.suaro (talk • contribs) 11:38, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- @Dr.suaro: I can't tell you what to add because I know nothing about the organization you are writing about. The policy is clear as to what you need, particularly here WP:CORPDEPTH.--Cahk (talk) 18:08, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

- @MK Mahato: Unfortunately I cannot recall what your article was about (I've tagged over 100 pages in the last 48 hours). If you need help, I suggest speaking with the administrator who deleted the article after my tagging. -- Cahk (talk) 09:26, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

Slow down a bit, please
Well done for spotting all these stale user pages. One small request: to avoid over facing us poor admins, could you please keep a watch on CAT:CSD and when it gets to about 200 items, pause your activities for a while. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:31, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: User:Charles Eugene Hill (Restaurante)/sandbox
Hello Cahk. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of User:Charles Eugene Hill (Restaurante)/sandbox, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: for G5 to apply the user must have created the page in violation of the block or ban. Thank you. Callanecc (talk • contribs • logs) 11:33, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- @Callanecc: The user Charles Eugene Hill and its associated spam accounts were all blocked for sock. The ban started way back in June, and continued until yesterday for the most recent account. As such, I do believe grounds for U5 exists.--Cahk (talk) 18:40, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- Deleted, I've also created Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Charleseugenehill (resturant) so that there is a place to report any more socks. Callanecc (talk • contribs • logs) 23:55, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
Be careful about test pages
Many of them are G2, sure, but it looks like some are just ordinary old drafts that go under G13. The important difference is that if the creator comes back, they'll see a more useful message (inviting them to WP:REFUND) than the less clear "test page". — Earwig talk 11:07, 15 December 2015 (UTC)
Free advice
Hello, my fellow Canuck! I just wanted to say...if you're wanting a subtly phallic username, you should go about it like me. Yours is just too obvious. Btw, I noticed that you have been reporting other users to WP:UAA. I don't think you really ought to do that---you've read WP:BOOMERANG, right? Putinmah di Kenya (talk) 19:33, 24 December 2015 (UTC)
- That's pretty silly, Putinmah di Kenya. Compare my response here at WP:UAA. Are you really a new user? They don't usually find pages like UAA so quickly. Bishonen | talk 22:10, 24 December 2015 (UTC).
- @Bishonen: Nah - User:Putinmah di Kenya is just a reincarnation of User:Sheds thus guys argh g ugh b, User:Fovonion and User:Umadbroornaw. They existed (since they are now all blocked) solely to 'educate' me about the sinister side of my username. Some people never learn ... --Cahk (talk) 01:26, 25 December 2015 (UTC)
