[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on UFC 117. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Paralympiakos (talk) 15:53, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

- I work as reporter covering mixed martial arts. Manfio is a world champion in the third largest American MMA promotion, after the UFC and Bellator. He also participated in the UFC’s popular reality show The Ultimate Fighter. Copperheart0718 (talk) 23:27, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Copperhearton718, Good day. First of all none of the subject fights are under top tier promotion for such he fails the notability of Wikipedia guidelines to have a page in the main space. Only top tier promotion (UFC, Bellator and Invicta (women) are considered top tier MMA promoters in Wikipedia) secondly, since you are a reporter covering MMA, that means you have a conflict of interest to edit all the mma events/fighters related article. Pls doe not edits any of the MMA related articles, but you can WP:Request edit by posting what you want to add by providing independent, relaible source, such as from the newspapers and not from the article you have written or your company or the companies which you have work for, in the articles talk pages and willing editor/s will add the info as requested. Cassiopeia talk 23:44, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
- Professional Fighters League is a top American promotion. Although MMA is a fairly new sport in the United States, there are more than just three large or notable organizations. For example, ONE (in Asia) rivals the aforementioned, and is worthy of inclusion. I have posted independent links supporting this article from top sites Tapology, Sherdog, MMAjunkie, ESPN, MMAFighting, and World Series of Fighting. None of the links/articles were written by me. I have no personal relationship with this fighter. I think it's in the best interest of Wikipedia to have contributors who are familiar with the subject matter. Raush Manfio and all mma events and fighters
[edit]Hello, Copperheart0718. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Cassiopeia talk 23:36, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
- I have no personal relationship with this fighter, other than I find it glaring that several champions in the Professional Fighters League (a top American promotion) don't have their own Wikipedia page. Copperheart0718 (talk) 23:42, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
- You dont need to have a personal relationship with the fighter, but since you cover MMA; you article or your company or the company which your articles that you sell to might the affiliation with the fighter/ their promotion, that means you have a COI and also you might be also considered as a pay editor since you make your money covering the abovementioned. I understand your view and I share you intention. We the MMA editors fight very hard to get other promotions to be included in the top tier in Wikipedia and only succeed to added Bellator after a few year to discussion after Bellator have more than 6 fighters in World top 10 fighters for consistence over a year. PFL, ONE, M-1, BAMMA, Eagle, and etc. are not considered top promoter until they meet the above criteria then the fighters have fought for the top tier promotion with at least 3 fights are considered notable (Bellatro is from 2009- 2015 and from 2022 onward). If a fighter has been ranked top 10 in Sherdog and Fight Metrix ranking then he/she is notable to have a page in Wikipedia. I and another editor keep track of all upcoming notable MMA fighters and events for many years, if we happened to miss any fighters who are notable as per above mentioned, pls let me know. Let me know if anything I can help. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 23:56, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
- I see that fighters such as Anatoliy Malykhin, Joshua Pacio, Izu Ugonoh, and Reinier de Ridder (for example) have their own Wikipedia page. None of them matches the requirement of having competed at least three times in the UFC, Bellator, or Invicta. Neither are they top ranked fighters, worldwide. Copperheart0718 (talk) 00:26, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Copperheart07, Wikipedia is edited by volunteers such as myself and thousands of thousands of articles in the main space are not notable but many editors do not know the notability guidelines of Wikipedia or editors know about the guidelines but did not report/nominate for deletion, for such the articles remain in Wikipedia main space until editor(s) action. I will look at the article mentioned about and will nominate for deletion if they fails the requirements. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 00:38, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
- I respectfully would suggest that the definition of notable promotion or notable fighter be expanded. Thank you. Copperheart0718 (talk) 00:41, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
- Anatoliy Malykhin, Izu Ugonoh, and Reinier de Ridder have been nominated for article for deletion. As for Reinier de Ridder, who was ranked #8 in fight metrix in 2016 so it is a keep. Ali Isaev participated in 2008 Summer Olympics which I believe and hope there are more coverage of him in his native land to pass the general notability and Lance Palmer would past the collage wresting notability so I leave the article as they are. MMA fighters article exceeded 1.2K in Wikipedia and boxer articles are around 2K and when we look at boxing has been around for more than 100-150 years as compared that of MMA which is only around 25 years, we do have a lots of MMA articles in Wikipedia. Trust me I tried very hard to get Bellator back to top tier after 4 years of discussions and only managed to do it when some UFC fighters started moved to Bellator. Stay safe and best. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Cassiopeia talk 22:46, 18 March 2022 (UTC)
