I was a wikiholic from some years ago when it started up. I was having a very rough time then. Wikipedia gave me hope and saved my sanity by giving me somewhere to focus my mind.
It's not all roses - on the first day, someone called me a sock puppet. I was offended because I thought my intelligence was being insulted. Don't worry, I got over it (especially once I learned what sock puppet means) :)
I value the freedom of information and the change in one's life that education will make.
