Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. GILO   A&E 19:51, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Help

[edit]

I would like to create a page for Casimer Pascal's new duo (Casimer&Casimir) since the split of his critically praised group PAS/CAL. I work with the band and next Wednesday their new release will be feature on MTVHive.com. The duo needs the simplest entry. They've been covered quite possibly the most significant music site, Pitchfork on multiple occasions. Additionally they have an entry on AllMusic.com which links to Casimer and his previous group PAS/CAL. Thanks!

I'm sorry, but Wikipedia is not for promotion. It's inappropriate for you to be editing the article about the band when you work for them. --Chris (talk) 23:49, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I work WITH not FOR the band. I am a friend of the band who proposed the idea that Casimer Pascal's (a significant American songwriter) latest project should have an entry in Wiki for same reason there is an entry for Casimer&Casimir on Allmusic.com because of the notability of the artist involved.
To paraphrase what Chris said above, Wikipedia is not for promotion. It's inappropriate for you to be editing the article about the band when you work with them. DoriTalkContribs 02:00, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

talk, Dennis & others, the fact that the duo exists and is notable is not speculation:
1. Arguably the most influential modern music press, Pitchfork, maintains an artist page for Casimer & Casimir http://pitchfork.com/artists/29948-casimer-casimir/
2. The All Music Guide has an entry for Casimer & Casimir http://www.allmusic.com/artist/casimer-casimir-p2556089
3. One of the highest regard public radio stations, KCRW, has Casimer & Casimir in rotation http://newmedia.kcrw.com/tracklists/index.php?search_type=0&date_from=01%2F15%2F2012&host=Eric+J.+Lawrence&date_to=&artist=&channel=Simulcast&label=
4. Casimer & Casimir is being noted by international sources in Italy (http://www.frizzifrizzi.it/2012/01/22/sunday-morning-38/), France (http://www.agence-flair.fr/2655565/FLAIR), and UK (http://soundsxp.com/artman2/publish/mp3/Casimer_Casimir_-_In_The_New_Year_Walkmen_cover_free_MP3.shtml).
5. The notable songwriter, Casimer Pascal, from PAS/CAL (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PAS/CAL) is a part of this duo. This new musical venture is notable because it is his first utterance since the split of PAS/CAL. Do a google search for more...

Instead of deletion, could one of you kind editors edit the page so it is in accordance to Wiki standards? Or give exact instruction,,,

Have a look at our criteria for musician notability. Can you prove that this group meets at least one of those criteria? --Chris (talk) 15:44, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

(talk) Chris, under the criteria you linked to, two articles #1 & #6 would have relevance to the proofs I provided above.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, Iggyhajduk. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Enter your new article name here".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.
