Hi. Sorry to bother you, but I'm having some trouble on the Punk'd article. An unregistered user named BigBang19 keeps re-inserting material into the article that is irrelevant, poorly worded, etc. I've tried posting a message on that article's Talk Page, but he has not responded. Because he had no User Page, my message to him was the first one on it. If you could check out the bottommost section on the Talk Page and chime in with your two cents on his revisions, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. Nightscream 05:53, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I understand if you feel what you'd say would be redundant, but the reason I wanted you to chime in is so that if BigBang happened to read the Talk Page, that he'd see that he was in the minority, and stop what he's doing. Nightscream 16:10, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your VandalProof Application

[edit]

Dear Intinn,

Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact with the new 1.2 version release it has even more power. As such we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that for security reasons, VandalProof's creator requires it's users to have made 250 edits to articles, which you have not. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again in the not too distant future. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. - Glen 01:13, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up! Intinn | Talk 17:46, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The edit war seems to be one anon adding what another team has adapted the lyrics to, and then another adding the subsequent response. As a Chelsea fan I know the original lyrics, but I can't verify them through reliable sources, so I think it would be best to leave it as just a stub for now. It may also be worth requesting protection for the page until something can be agreed. SteveO 16:18, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Numerical simulation

[edit]

Hi, you have proposed the article Numerical simulation for deletion. I was not watching my talk pages for some time, so the article was already deleted when I saw your notice on my talk. In this way I couldn't do anything (e.g. improve the article) and did not see your explanation in the deletion notice.

I think Wikipedia should definitely have an article on numerical simulation, because the subject has a great importance in modern life (numerical simulations are extensively used in design of structures such as bridges, tunnels and buildings, in understanding and design of forming processes, various kinds of population models are used in predictions of epidemic spreads or macroeconomic developments, etc.) and its importance will grow increasingly. In the future this article would probably evolve into a larger article with plenty of links and images, but for the beginning a simple explanation of what numerical simulations are, with some links, would be sufficient to attract contributors who would wish to improve the article.

Now a question - is it possible to see the contents of the article after it has been deleted? is it possible to see somewhere explanation of reasons for deletion? I could use this to prepare an improved version that would match the Wikipedia standards. Ajgorhoe 09:37, 12 April 2007 (UTC) [reply]

My edit

[edit]

It shouldn't have been reverted, because I moved the POV to the other end of the spetrum, but the article actually has less POV than before. On a scale from -10 to +10, it had -8 and now has +5.

I can agree with you upto a certain point. The article does not come across as neutral, either way. However, even if you only edited to make your point you'd be better off adressing your NPOV concerns on the talk page rather than going ahead and making nonsense edits. FelisLeoTalk! 21:39, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with you that the article is probably not wholly NPOV, which tends to be the case for most articles on "causes" of one kind or another. Personally, I also have a limited tolerance for "Criticism of" articles; perhaps we should give it a different name (maybe Bullfighting and animal rights?), and it would certainly be proper to give more discussion to views that bullfighting is not inhumane. I do think, though, that the topic probably does deserve its own article, considering that the anti-bullfighting cause is a significant movement.--Pharos 22:35, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up. I've added some more information to hopefully make the article more palatable to you. I would think that a person elected to the highest office of an international denomination with well over a million members would qualify as notable. At least as notable as say, Oak Lawn Community High School. Kevin Rector (talk) 03:03, 24 April 2007 (UTC) [reply]

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Your edits to Boss Nigger

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for refreshing a dead URL at Boss Nigger. You also removed a second footnote that included a dead URL.

Instead of deleting the footnote like you did, you could have tagged it with the {{dead link}} template. Alternatively, you could read the guidance at WP:DEADREF regarding "preventing and repairing dead links".

I fixed the link at Boss Nigger (and a related one you deleted at William Smith (actor)), but I was just informing you for future reference. Thanks again. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 23:01, 8 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you need to be more careful using Igloo, which is still in alpha test. I have removed the {{prod}} tag from LPS Grade 6 Maths Game, which you proposed for deletion, because its deletion has previously been contested or viewed as controversial. Proposed deletion is not for controversial deletions. For this reason, proposed deletion is disallowed on articles that have previously been de-{{prod}}ed, even by the article creator. I have listed the article at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/LPS Grade 6 Maths Game; if you still think the article should be deleted, feel free to comment there. Removed petty internet ethno-nationalism; he represents Iran, has an Iranian passport and was born there, regardless of his ethnicity. There are Kurdish sepatarists active on wikipedia actively trying to devide different ethnicities living in Iran. By removing the ethno-nationalistic sentiments you will get a more objective article. Please focus on the user 'Tehsojiro'. I edited my comment a few weeks afo. I'm not going to spam my comment with every change make in the main article. Parrax (talk) 12:08, 15 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

And why can't his ethnicity be mentioned? it is mentioned with other athletes. But it is a problem because he is Kurdish and it doesn't fit with what Iranian supremacists/racists think? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tehsojiro (talkcontribs) 11:09, 19 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Honestly, I don't know. But edit warring is not the way to resolve this. Why don't you guys start a civil discussion on the matter on the article's Talk page? ronazTalk! 11:17, 19 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Did so and there is no 'civil discussion' whatsoever. Iranian nationalists are not interested in ever admitting there is even a thing as a Kurdish ethnicity. And what now? We just leave the article at the current state just because they happened to have the last edit before moderators stepped in? Tehsojiro (talk) 08:28, 22 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Civil discussion does not appear out of the blue, if nobody finds the issue interesting enough to discuss it at the talk page you might want to do a WP:RFC. ronazTalk! 19:02, 22 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Media Fuse Dentsu Aegis Network

[edit]

Hi Ronaz, I noticed you earmarked my article with the above title for speedy deletion. It has previously been earmarked but after i moderated it was restored. i would like you to hint possible areas in which i might have erred so that i might re edit it Thanks JJ kelvin (talk) 18:40, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I will reply to your emails and this question here on my talk page. The article was nominated and deleted under the G11 criteria for Speedy Deletion. This applies to pages that are exclusively promotional and would need to be fundamentally rewritten to become encyclopedic. Promotion does not necessarily mean commercial promotion: anything can be promoted, including a person, a non-commercial organization, a point of view, etc. You also seem to have a close relation to the subject. This can also become a Conflict of interest. The best course of action would be to list the subject at Articles for Creation. ronazTalk! 07:57, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The Bed Sitting Room (film)

[edit]

Hi Ronaz, in response to your reverting my correction of the dialogue in the move "The Bed Sitting Room"...

this is a British film with British English dialogue, and the dialogue clearly and repeatedly refers to the character's "inside leg measurements" rather than "inseam measurements". Perhaps there's a dubbed version which you have seen and which uses this Americanism but "inseam" is meaningless on this side of the Atlantic, whereas "inside leg" is a well-known innuendo which appears in countless British television shows and movies of the period. Rather than revert my edit, you could add a bracketed explanation of the meaning of the phrase for Americans, or remove the quotation marks.

82.11.72.220 (talk) 10:19, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't contesting whether it should be inseam or inside leg, I reverted because you didn't add a source that supports your claim. On top of that, I used the wrong template, sorry about that. Lastly, I am on the same side of the Atlantic as you are :) ronazTalk! 20:16, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry Ronaz I didn't have a source, I just know that film very well, which is not very encyclopedic! I really am surprised that Brits use the expression "inseam", I've heard it in America, but never in the UK, and I'm not clear whether it carries the same double-entendre in the USA as it does over her. 82.11.72.220 (talk) 20:35, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Kianoush Rostami - new vandalism

[edit]

It appears that once again we are going into an edit war. It is at this point clear that user Parrax will remove any and all attempts to highlight the athlete's ethnicity. I made multiple reports through wikipedia's obtuse system and have heard nothing back. Don't know what to do but I won't stand for our ethnicity being denied time and time again. Tehsojiro (talk) 20:33, 11 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Ronaz, I really don't understand what is going on with the Kianoush Rostami page. First it was put under protection while the information about his ethnicity was there, and then it was removed by user Parrax and suddenly the page gets protected again but this time we can't correct it with the information on his ethnicity?? What is going on? Tehsojiro (talk) 14:09, 23 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Jon Stoll Wiki Page Deletion

[edit]

Ronaz,

Jon was a very notable figure in the world of concert production and promotion. Anyone in the industry knew and continues to know of Jon from his legendary stamp on establishing the concert world on the east coast (most specifically the Southeast and Florida) and concerts wouldn't be what they are today without Fantasma Production's imprint and/or Jon Stoll's independent drive, spirit and ambition throughout the years. Aside to being a forerunner in a largely outlaw dog eat dog industry from the early 70s until the mid 2000s, Jon was one of the biggest if not the biggest independent concert promoters in the United States fighting against the "soon to be" corporate sharks who are now Live Nation - Jon came before Live Nation (which was formerly SFX and before than Celler Door) so he was a pioneer in what is today known as one of the most lucrative and explosive industries in the world, concert promotion and production. With that said, every fact stated in the article is 100% true and if I need to dig up references to back them up, I am happy to.

Feel free to contact me directly to discuss further but I strongly urge to keep this Wikipedia page up and active in honor of one of the greatest pioneers in both the concert world and independent showmanship.

I understand your views on the subject of this article. I listed it at AfD with my reasoning on why it should be deleted. Let's have the AfD discussion run its course. It is a community tool where consensus is needed in order to delete an article. Although I understand the sentiment leaving a page up in someone's honor is never a good argument for inclusion. Feel free to add the references, the article has been tagged sinds 2010 to improve said references but the maintenance tag was removed without discussion and is buried in the page history.ronazTalk! 11:37, 9 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
After some consideration I decided to withdraw its nomination. I found out there's a book and regular magazines mentioning Jon Stoll. I did tag the article with tags on what area the article needs improvement. ronazTalk! 13:46, 9 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
