Liberty School District

[edit]

You say you're trying, which is good, but please try harder or rather, more carefully. You made five edits which were, let's be honest, not much good. With your sixth you are asking to be taken seriously but, while it's better than the others, it's still not that great. You can't use an encyclopaedia article to express your personal opinion, nor can you use it to talk to other editors ... can you see how that would not be OK?

I do, though, have a great suggestion for you if you want to edit seriously - we have a thing called the Teahouse which is for new editors to ask questions and learn. Just click this to go there - I am sure you will find it useful. You might also want to look at some of the links in your Welcome message above - it could give you some good starters too. Hope this helps, best wishes DBaK (talk) 20:55, 14 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Guidance for younger editors

[edit]

Hi again. I had one other thought, which is that you are perhaps a younger person? If so, I wondered if it might help you to look at Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors which contains some useful information. If it's not for you, then sorry - please ignore this. Best wishes DBaK (talk) 21:09, 14 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Liberty School District again, and your editing and approach in general

[edit]

Hello. Thank you for the message. It seems largely to miss the point of what I am trying to say. I am not sure that you will want me to explain but just for the record:

  1. I don't know who you are so you've seen me before doesn't help much; sorry. Do you have another account here?
  2. I can see the development of the article, thanks. It's here. So I know exactly what you added and how it was before.
  3. I have never in any way suggested that you should not edit the article, so as your wish, I will discontinue edits in that article makes no sense at all. That is not my wish.
  4. I have removed edits of yours that were garbage or unverifiable and improbable. I've left your edits alone where they appeared to be perhaps OK. So yes, that article was a stub and had nothing is true, and it's good that you have apparently improved it, though reliable sources for the information would be good. If you can add good information to this or any other article, please carry on. We need good editors.
  5. I am sure that you understand the difference between useful and inappropriate edits. Your statement that At least I added something only holds up for the good edits. It does not help where you are adding personal opinion - that is worse than adding nothing.
  6. In a couple of sections above I have given you really good advice about things you could do or read. Please consider this.
  7. I think I am done here now. I wish you happy editing for the future.

Best wishes, DBaK (talk) 17:33, 16 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
